I'm sure that it how Putin sees it, his logic is probably if you tell someone where to shoot, how to shoot and hand them the weapon to do the shooting with, then thats tantamount to direct involvement

Ok and I hate to say this because I hate everything they stand for but......

We need these guys just now. They are the influencers and some of the power of Russia. They like their toys and the benefits of the lives they live in places like London.

Here they have it all. The mega yachts, lamborghinis, private jets even top flight football clubs.

Right now it's all been stripped away from them and their accounts are frozen, they are just as furious about that as we are about the war.

It's pressure from them that can help end this war, someone or a group of them will help turn the tables on Putin, it's why they're sanctioned in the first place.
 
The silly propaganda coming from the Russian news channels asking;

"Why do we need the world, if Russia won't be in it?"

Russia IS part of the world!
 
This peace talk is just a charade from Putin to build his narrative. So he can say that he's tried to de-escalate via peaceful means but Ukraine declined, so now for the protection of Russia they must send nukes.

I'm sure he would see the difference if the world sent in their military rather than just their equipment.

When it's over I'd be genuinely interested in visiting Ukraine, not least to help their economy by spending a bit of money over there. I guess it's going to be a while before that's possible though.

Not entirely sure, a quick google suggests that blast pressure waves travel better in water, but radiation doesn't.

I can't imagine it having a good effect on fish and the like though :(
 
It would never work for reasons on both sides. For Russia, it is just a way to get them to cede what they came to achieve anyway. For Ukraine, they haven't sent the PM (for obvious reasons).
