The best outcome is hoping the Ukrainians to hold down, the longer this drags on, the more pressure there is on him from the inside. Hopefully, something or someone from within can kick him off the top.

Committing half your army long term to hold a country is not sustainable.

Yeah i see the longer this dragging on the harder it'll be for Putin to continue with his goal.

The fact that the Russian stock exchange ceased trading today out of fear the market would plunge even further speaks volumes. Then with ATM's running out of cash etc and the citizens of Russia trying to get their hands on as much cash as possible before it disappears.

I suspect tomorrow will be another hard day financially for Russia - they can't keep their markets closed forever.

Ukrainians teaching Ukrainians how to drive the abandoned vehicles, not sure it's wise driving around in Russian armour during a war though

I know war is war but the amount of people killed whilst still trying to live normal lives is crazy. I would be shacked up in my house 24/7 or if possible escape to another country if I could. There was a video of a poor sod and his son dead in a ditch because they were mistaken for enemies. One of the dogs still alive sitting by their side. :(.

That girl is just naive and is looking for followers. She will end up getting popular. Do a new video in a T90 or something and end up as giblets. She also doesn't realise she is indirectly being a role model to someone and will cause their untimely death.

One of the generals on Sky news said earlier regarding a military operation "If you don't win quickly, you start to lose politically" and I think that's very true...

This is going to HAMMER the Russian people and every element of their society, insane interest rates, banks shutting down, no flights to the EU, the list goes on - and it'll get worse as time goes on.

Yeah that's just asking to be shot.

It was bad enough with the odd person going out during curfew and potentially getting mistaken as a Russian saboteur.

And Putin is willing to sacrifice the motherland for his ego and war.

The financial impact to ordinary Russians could wipe out savings and pensions, with pretty much zero recovery. Putin won't care as he's unlikely to run out of money even if it does devalue 90%.

yea they do a show of hands.

For , Against, Abstain

China, India and UAE have been abstaining with only Russia against in votes in the previous days.

out of the votes I watched anyway

India need to hang their heads in shame here. They are not coming across well and we shouldn't forget that.

Yeah it's going to be very interesting, I personally think he's finished - I don't see how he can win this.

In my layman mind, I can't see any logical path to victory for Putin whatsoever. It would have been different if Ukraine had done something bad to warrant the war, but based on the fact Putin has invaded for reasons no better than "for the sake of it" it's just going to fail, but not before he creates a huge mess and loss of life.

Its like he has thought that if he says his totally made up bogus reasons enough, they will come true.

I think he is high off his own propaganda.

Just attach a white sheet or flag and drive it home.

You wouldn't steal one if you had somewhere to hide it?

Maybe they should be worried they are rigged to blow though as soon as it moves an inch, boom landmine.

USA left around ammo that would blow up in your face in Vietnam etc

Back in the real world India's military depend heavily on Russian equipment and support, so with both an aggressive China and the constant fighting with Pakistan which happen on their borders I think they're probably more concerned about those things right now other than the Ukraine.

That is "realpoltik" in action, the ugly "not black or white" morally grey area most governments around the world have to deal with every day.
