Probably a good idea for security reasons as well as sanctions/economical ones.

That's to prevent a large crude oil tanker that is currently on it's way to Orkneys to load up on crude oil from one of the Russian owned orkney oil companies.

That is interesting to me is that the Russian Oligarchs are not much different to the Chinese Belt & Road initiative. They invest and take over companies and functions critical, resulting in a reliance and control structure. Oligarchs "made their money in selling of Russian oil etc assets" I'm starting to think they are part of the Russian system, essentially they are funded and then tasked to strategically pave the way to weaken and take control through any means.
Oligarch football? Well that's simply a control structure in terms of PR. Money pit? Well yes because it becomes something that raises their profile so they can build a bigger business engagement - kind of like having a prestige club that you invite to ease negotiations and to gloryboat contractual negotiations.

Didn't hit the building - was in the middle of the road - hit cars. Probably missed its intended target - for some reason their Iskanders seem to be out by around 50m - like consistently out by about the same amount it is weird.

Jammed, GPS hack or hacked. Or perhaps the soldiers are deliberately missing - Putin not paying enough.

The Ukrainians hold a special place in Russia's mindset. They created the Ukranian SSR (sound familiar) - one of the first combined federations in one of the many wars of russia, so every child in Russia knows Ukraine.

Was wondering if it was due to jamming - but probably the geo data/model they are using isn't calibrated quite correctly or something - on some of the aftermath satellite images of the air base strikes you can see how the impacts are offset from the likely intended target by almost exactly the same amount each instance.

I'm not sure how hard it is to hack the Russian (I believe) owned glonnas system?

I'm going to guess propoganda, and they aren't lost as some claims seem to be. Russia literally invented a better version of GPS but according to twitter feeds, they are sending their troops in without navigation devices. Either, it's nonsense or Russia really is on its arse and this is a patethic and extremely extremely strange invasion.

On par with Wales deciding to invade the rest of the UK kind of strange according to some reports.

Damn I commented on a conversation that I got the wrong jist of! Ha. Still counts though, missles are probably being misplaced to create fear and not destruction.

You know Russia's economy would have been in a better state if it wasn't for Russian Oligarchs urinating the money of the Russian people down the toilet in boats, yachts and football clubs.

This is the problem - recreating every possible system not to rely on someone else's becomes prohibitively expensive thus Putin's military becomes progressively more expensive to operate and run.
GPS based systems are a liability in war so most cruise missiles use ground mapping radar to provide guidance.

I'm not going to try and guess in that respect - some strikes are hitting their intended targets - but others are oddly out. I suspect it is more down to the difference between using these systems in practise and in a real war and needing to use after battle reports to hone the system.

Even gaming companies are starting to show support for Ukraine.
11Bit, a Polish studio has heavily discounted This War of Mine and will donate 100% of the sales to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
