You said there are nuclear weapons on the borders. There are no weapons in those countries. That map that you replied to and quoted shows that...
I think Russia want the borders back to conceptually put them on the level playing field as the US. That boat has sailed along time ago - China is the new interest and boogieman. I suspect that Putin will have to put up its the EU. Perhaps he knows this and is attempting to define his level by pushing the EU as hard as possible.
supplied nukes by whom ? The west will never do it. Providing defensive hardware is one thing, handing out WMD's is another thing altogether
Russia is not a signatory of the Rome Statute (they withdrew), so for Russia is it nonsense, ICC has no jurisdiction.
Besides there's a complete breakdown of relations between Europe and Russia, at this point it does not matter to Russia what any of European institutions have to say about it.

I admit I don’t understand the refugee argument. Maybe it’s because I’m a contributor to society and not a consumer. I understand people are worried about it, the last few decades have proved that. These are people though, thank your lucky stars you aren’t in that position. What is it you are scared of? Most will want to go back home asap, they aren’t npcs they are just like you and me. Remember our country is built on migration, probably for the last 3000 years. What did the Romans ever do for us eh?

There are US forces in Estonia, certainly, also in lithuania and latvia, also in poland.
US forces dont turn up with a guy in uniform with no gun, they have weapons of course.
Those US forces could be under NATO.
But IMO that still counts
I think we are paying aid to more than just Poland.
Also if France had been policing it's borders properly rather than off loading their existing refugee issue on the UK perhaps we'd have more free places. We need to offset Ukraine's against the numbers of others that have entered illegally. If they have a problem with that, take it up with France and the EU.
Plenty of reasons why theyve set it on fire, not working, out of ammo, damaged beyond repair in the ambush etc. But still, some context would be nice, seems like it would have been a handy addition to Ukraines forces.

Do you know why KFC discontinued their fries back in 2019 and replaced them with the slimy undercooked potato slivers they have now? (It's relevant, keep reading). The answer is because two people (may have been three) in the UK tweeted that year to say their fries sucked, and zero people tweeted about them being good, seriously, it wasn't until the change was made and the backlash that KFC actually realised people liked their fries, and more so than the new ones.
The point is, it's very easy to come to a seriously incorrect conclusion if you only have incorrect information to make your decision on. Putin has surrounded himself with people who will never question his ideas and only tell him what they think he wants to hear. If he asks if Russia can take Ukraine he's told of course, it will be easy, especially due to the awesomely equipped/trained army he has done an amazing job of building up over the last decades, it must be true because people tell him so when he asks. If he asks if the Ukrainians will see them as liberators/saviours then of course they will, who is going to tell him Ukrainians don't want to be ruled by Putin? Everyone loves Putin!
The facts he is is of global importance and he inherited a superpower instead of a **** hole differentiate him from Kim Jung Un, but the cult of personality and entourage of worshipping yes men are no different.
I suspect the area wasn't secure enough for any kind of prolonged recovery operation.
Nobody trained to use it and you can't train how to use it in a day a week or a month. Huge amount of resources and time would be needed to figure this out.

Enough of the “we are paying” please. The taxpayers are paying yes but obviously in different amounts. How much have the “I know it’s a problem but keep them out of the UK” crowd donated to Ukraine focused charities in the last week?

They definitely have form for it that is for sure.
Potentially, but it also has 2 autocannons built in, im sure someone with a few hours could work out how to get them pointed in a direction and shoot, even if its just a static road defense.
