I hope the Western news has some ex-Russian soldiers lined up to discuss what's happened anonymously with the reward being a significant financial settlement.
In total, 1502 military infrastructure facilities of Ukraine were disabled during the operation
Among them: 51 command posts and communication centers of the Ukrainian armed forces, 38 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa anti-aircraft missile systems, 51 radar stations, 472 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 62 multiple launch rocket systems , 206 field artillery pieces and mortars, 336 units of special military vehicles, 46 unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Russia is expected to seize Kyiv in the next 4-6 weeks. The war overall is likely to last 10 or 15 or 20 years and “ultimately, Russia will lose” - US officials speaking to CBS and Congress"
Not sure I'd agree with that assessment - as long as the defenders are well prepared and willing they could hold Kyiv easily 4-6 weeks or more unless Russia commits far more to the fight. But on the other hand I don't see the war dragging out beyond maybe 2-3 years - once (if) the major urban areas are taken and larger organised military groups dispersed or defeated it will likely die down very quickly - much of those West leaning will then start to move out the country IMO with only a limited insurgency.
EDIT: The other option is they never fully take Kyiv and it turns into a protracted conflict zone without huge taking of territory by either side.
Are these the most effective places to donate?
And like with Ukrainian figures, massive pinch of salt neededRussia giving an update on what they believe they have destroyed:
Ukraine has bank accounts for the support of their armed forces and now seemingly war bonds.
I'm sure you buy military bonds and also donate via btc?
Think the contracts are on the official twitter?
Yeah just wondering how they would actually use the funds effectively if donated directly or if a charity would be better.
Gone with the charity for now.
Not really is it? Russian politics has been known to be notoriously corrupt with many citizens not voting for Putin.
That's like saying if the Tories got us in a war that everyone who didn't vote for them somehow deserved this by proxy? Also , if the war wasn't on the manifesto why should the people who did vote them in be punished also?
Citizens being ruined for the actions of a few super wealthy is never a good thing.
Looks like trading on the Moscow exchange is suspended for a third day.
Are these the most effective places to donate?
Suspended until the 5th, which is itself a damaging act so whatever.
Reformed Russell brand knocking it out the park there, as has been typical for him over the last year or so. Astounding for a guy who was previously so unwaveringly unbearable.

And can you be sure the money wont be misplaced?
I'd just give to a charity.

Russell Brand, professional contrarian, uncritically repeating Russia's lies about 'NATO expansion' while his subscribers drool over his every word. What an absolute flog.
