Who actually goes in to Ikea? Its all about click and collect, couldnt suffer through actually going in to the shop, saying that I only use Ikea on the odd occasion.

It will be interesting who is the second to announce this. If it's oil or gas then you know they're starting to apply pressure. Although I suspect nutjob will simply go full mental, the crack will likely fuel others. I'm wondering when the aircraft and metal companies start requested it ends..

I agree there. Just don't want to see the country reduced to rubble in the mean time. A break up could be an "out" for Putin but there is the "Why should Ukraine accept being broken up?" which I perfectly understand.
 
The reason the majority of globals are closing down in russia is probably also ERP system related.
In order to function in the manufacturing plants they will need the ERP system (which tend to be global systems) and having that active to Russia would create a big risk for the whole business.
You would rely on security to prevent access to areas you didnt want people to be able to access to, but planning etc would need access outside Russia.
Far better from a risk perspective to completely remove all Russian users and cut off the links.

There's already $1 million bounty on his head from a Californian based Russian. I would guess it would need to be closer to $1 billion for anyone to consider it.

We could clamp down on the Conservatives donors for start. Boris was being nailed in PMQ given the sanctions were adjusted not to hit the Tory donors. Sickening.

Simply starting with any Russian company- they should have a defined directorship and beneficiaries. That's financial anti-laundering law. Having companies buy property and not know who is the beneficiary is nuts. As discussed in PMQs.

So by this logic if Boris is fed some Novichok, UK would stop all sanctions against Russia?

The hope would be Putin is replaced by a moderate. One of the whispered worries before all this was what came after Putin. A Moderate who could work with Europe and not allow Ukraine to continue to be abused by East and West. Or someone has hard line as Putin but with none of the Kleptocrat trappings which were supposed to be holding him back (I always felt Putin had quite a cushy number going and why would he upset the status quo? sadly I'm wrong)

We operate under different rules than Russia, so no I doubt it because not all decision making is centralised into one person.

The issue with any move against Putin is that there is a hardline that would also have to be onboard or eliminated at the same time.
 
putin wanted his legacy, he may enlarge russia, but at cost of taking his people back to the dark ages of the cold war era, maybe he stop and think in time, to me he will go down as just another dictator.
its not just him hes surrounded by hardliners

Everybody, its always heavin. Including the cafeteria. Last time I went, we had to queue to get in.

Which is why the sensible and smart thing would be to surrender. Who cares about this macho national pride nonsense you can’t kiss a badge if you’re dead.

Just keep sanctions I’m place until they leave. Simple and people stop losing their lives unnecessarily.
