Who is trying to smear this guy now?

End of the day he has stayed and fought for his country, he could easily have left and cuddled up with his money if he was that sort.
I don't know, seems like people are just happy to be spoonfed their information nowadays.

There are hundreds of shells dropped everyday across the globe. Many 'wars' that are allowed to pass. What about Syria, iraq, iran, gaza strip.

Questions to ask are:
Why this, why now?
Who benefits?
What's the larger agenda?

The situation is far more complicated than portrayed in the media and started at least 9 years ago. Why the big push now?

People are being told who to support and what to think. Many of the photos and videos used are from years ago and sometimes not even from the Ukraine.

I don't support Russia or support the trauma being wrought on innocent civilians but we're not getting the full picture.

You honestly sound like you pulled this whole post off Facebook.

Is very unoriginal.

With no fly zones over Russia creating such an issue at least we've confirmed the earth must be flat and flying the other way around is simply not possible

Agreed

I followed the flat earth group on Facebook for a giggle a few years back. Don't think they have posted in over a year, not exactly helping themselves!

It's strange isn't it? You think that because I'm asking questions that I'm ......?

There's another question there, why is looking for more information and not instantly accepting what is presented a bad thing?

I'm not on social media btw. They're a cesspit with algorithms designed to fuel division, I'm more of a 'bring everyone together' kinda guy.

I just want people to be curious and ask their own questions.

I get the implication and it saddens me to see it. I don't get why asking questions is a bad thing. Putin's not a good guy, Zelenskiy isn't a good guy but we're being fed a very one-sided message. Who does that message serve? What are the bigger issues at play?

That’s my take on it. His army will need a rebuild after this, all while crippled with sanctions. He won’t have the means for another invasion. I doubt the troops would be much into it either, they probably just want to get home now.

In all fairness with the size of Russian army and amount of tanks they have, their current losses are not even a dent. You have to remember just how vast Russia's army is, particular tanks and ground vehicles. However saying that it is not even close in advancement to the USA, only China comes close. Russia has been ramping up military spend for years.

Meanwhile a lot of the West have been reducing their spend, thankfully united the West / Nato is a crazy powerful force.

Those vehicles need to be maintained and considering the level of maintenance on show here I really doubt the breadth of their equipment is much better, not that it matters.

Maybe someone can help me with this. Turn on the news and there's a new superhero in town, the president of the Ukraine! All cheer!

Isn't this the same guy that was in the Pandora Papers?

https://www.theguardian.com/news/20...dent-offshore-connections-volodymyr-zelenskiy

Some real shady stuff and now he's being lionised?

I dunno, seems weird to me.

It's never really been much of a secret that Zalensky was backed by Igor Kolomoisky.

However, in light of recent events, I'm happy to let it slide.

The vast majority of the 12k Russian tanks are in cold storage and have been Cannibalised to keep the 2-3k the have available now operational, if they had the numbers available that people keep spouting, they would have been unleashed at the first sign of struggle in Ukraine

Just speculation but...

Russia 'may be ready to use chemical weapons in Ukraine'
Warning comes from experts, with one adding: 'The EU and Nato need to prepare for the (almost) unimaginable'

Moscow may be readying to use chemical weapons in Ukraine, experts have warned, after Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov repeated claims that the US was developing “biological materials” in the Eastern European country.

Mr Lavrov said Moscow had information that the US was “worried it would lose control” over alleged chemical weapons sites in Ukraine, without offering evidence to back up the claims.

Several commentators said the mention of chemical weapons was a "red flag" and that the threat of use of chemical weapons in Ukraine was now "real".

"The EU and Nato need to prepare for the (almost) unimaginable,” said Prof Theo Farrel, formerly the head of the war studies department at King's College London, in response to Mr Lavrov’s interview with Russian and foreign media.

Washington’s ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, previously warned that Vladimir Putin would be ready to use Russia’s stockpiles of biological and chemical weapons if he felt his troops were faltering in Ukraine.

“Certainly nothing is off the table with this guy. He's willing to use whatever tools he can to intimidate Ukrainians and the world,” she said.

Concerns over the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine were raised four years to the day since the poisoning of Sergey Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury, using the Soviet-produced nerve agent Novichok.

A substance from the same family of nerve agents was used to poison Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny two years ago, in an attack believed to have been ordered by the Kremlin.

In 2018 Russia was accused of using a chlorine-based chemical weapon to attack a rebel stronghold in a suburb of Damascus, the Syrian capital, killing 40 people, and the US has warned that it may resort to similar tactics in Ukraine.

Russia has always denied the chemical weapons allegations and has instead accused the US of building chemical weapons laboratories in Ukraine and Georgia, another pro-Western former Soviet state.

The US has said that its laboratories in Ukraine and Georgia are focused on human and animal welfare research.

Who's saying Zelensky isn't a good guy? He is a good guy for wanting democracy and a better life for the people of his country, he and his people are defending it with their lives. That is the epitome of 'a good guy'. Putin is the aggressor, is killing people and is a menace to world peace. It's as simple as that.
