That can sometimes happen when you target civilians.... oh, and don't have a nuclear deterrent.Probably the bombing...rather than ‘intervention’.

Who? You saw that there was no way to know who was shooting. I do not think either side is deliberately targeting civilians, there's just no reason for it. However I can see everybody being on edge and shooting at anything remotely threatening. It could have been Russian forces, it could have been Ukrainian forces, it could have been volunteers, it could have been Russian saboteurs.
At a certain distance their PRESS body armour makes then look like combatants. There's a Ukrainian checkpoint ahead manned by likely volunteers (from videos around Kyiv I saw but a guess), it is much more likely that this was a case of mistaken friendly fire.
The U.K. did what truly matters they were supplying the Ukraine weapons back in January and also helping train the Ukraine troops to be better, this is far better than any sanctions in a time of war as it’s allowed Ukraine to defend itself much better. If you watch videos from troops on the ground in Ukraine you hear most of them thanking the U.K. above and beyond any other country for the weapons and training the U.K. was providing months ago.
There have been numerous reports of civilians being murdered at Russian checkpoints.
One example of many here, it's a chilling read.

Just out of interest what should we do?Quelle surprise!
I do not doubt civilians were killed by the Russian army in this war. I doubt intent.
Only videos I’ve seen are Russian soldiers being treated well by Ukrainians and don’t look like POWs to me.
The Russians aren't calling it a war though, it's a 'special military operation' so they're not PoWs. They're probably lucky the Ukranians aren't labelling them terrorists...
the present Convention shall apply to all cases of declared war or of any other armed conflict which may arise between two or more of the High Contracting Parties, even if the state of war is not recognized by one of them.
Also, who actually cares if Russians invaders are being photographed?

You doubt intent? Shell and drop cluster munitions on a capital city and have no intent to kill civilians? They're not sparing residential areas. Pass the crack pipe.
It's our intelligent services, they are the best in the world. They get given lots of stick but thankfully the UK gov got this one right. We were sending in C17's day and night throughout January while the rest of the west walked off a cliff. The mind boggles how, mind, perhaps it was our superior intelligence services, or maybe just a punt

30 seconds of research was all it took to find this.
Russian's, Russian's care. How did the UK population react when Saddam started showing images of RAF POW's in 1991? Did we care, did we react angrily to seeing "Our Boys" bloodied up and being made to say anti-West propaganda?
So now when Russia starts to claim that it's POW's are being "abused" by the Ukrainians who are breaking the GC, those videos of bleeding battered soldiers reading out propaganda messages gives Russia the potential excuse to treat captured Ukrainian POW's badly and say "well they started it" and now Russian citizens who may have be against the conflict will see "their" troops being used and hate it as much as we did in '91.
It's simply a stupid idea which only creates a negative outcome. I mean there is literally no difference here other than we hate it when the bad guys do it and we ignore it when the good guys do it -
