Exactly UK main role is to support Ukraine in fighting off Russia's attack through military and medical supplies. We have procedures in place for family reunion and visa entry. Most people will return when Russia withdraws as their menfolk did not leave.

Russian youth arent stupid, with all the social media there is now they know the truth and it can't be hidden from them.

Putin can spin his lies but you cant lie about the images of destruction and mass murder they are seeing.

It will be from within that ends this war, homy die befere then is anyones guess.

I know Boris is weak, but worrying so much he won't let grandma's and little girls into the country is taking too far.

But then we have heard so many tales of old ladies suicide bombing Houses of Parliament, and little girls walking down Tottenham court road with an AK47, I guess he has to be so careful.

Where's the evidence she's aiming to be with her close family? There is already a process in place for this and she's been rejected so clearly that isn't the case. She is in a safe country. Most French speak very good English.

I have zero to say on the immigration disagreement that you’re having, but I think that “most French speak very good English”, is not true.
I have more than a good handle on French, and I reckon that if you stood on the streets of Nantes or Limoges and sought out English speakers you’d be lucky to find 3 out of 50 who could manage more than “please and thank you.”
I have extended family in and around Lille and Lens, and another branch down in Toulouse and all those in my age bracket know more words in Polish than they do English.
Their grandkids and great grandkids can often switch in and out of English and French when speaking with me, but most people of fifty/sixty plus know only a couple of words of English, if that.
Of course, you may be speaking of educated Parisians, who gently deride what they perceive to be my Nord/Belge accent when I speak French.
They often speak English in cut glass tones, reminiscent of Jacob Rees-Mogg, making me feel like a racaille from the treizième arrondissement, or Gobelins.

Gets so boring how entrenched people are in a polarised and blinkered mindset in an increasingly complex world. I guess it is one way to cope but like with Putin it is trying to drag things into the comfort of the past rather than make the best of the future.

So your statement that "Most French speak very good English" is demonstrably false and wrong.

Also, we have no idea how good their English was in the first place, as coming to the UK does not indicate any prior proficiency in the English language, so once again, making a premise on nothing but assumptions...

So now that you've been shown to be wrong can we stray back to more about Ukraine and less about immigration in general or which country people should stay in.

You know when the Russian war on the Ukraine is really in trouble when Elon Musk is chatting to Ukrainian leaders about visiting, post-War and planning joint Space ventures in the future.

Russian Tesla's to use cameras & AI to hunt down Putin and run him over? :)
