I'm not convinced Putin has any intent to agree to those terms listed quite a few posts back. Would be a huge L for him unless he purposefully over-committed so he can fall back to this, plus he can't suppress the facts forever.

The most trustworthy of sources, absolutely top of the list of 'who to believe' when discussing the idea that the USA has built biological weapons labs in Ukraine.
I'm more curious about the documents, this is an official stand by the Russian gov but no one listens to them anyway otherwise UA would have kept neutrality and there would have not been a war, MSM is filled with fake news and its normal every institution is under pressure to do what its told by their gov, i'v seen fake news on BBC recently so keep and open mind

Da Comrade.

I keep seeing people say "Ethnic Russians" and I genuinely don't understand what they are on about. There is no such thing as an ethnic Russian. They are all ethnic Slavs. Ukrainians, Russians, Poles, etc.
To be fair, Latvia and Estonia are more related to the Finnic peoples than the Slavs but still. My point stands.
Russification was a policy under both the Csars and the Soviets to bring countries under a great Russian influence. Russians were literally relocated to these countries. Partly to improve the political control and partly to drive culture change.

Back in reality there is almost no chance Ukraine is getting back Crimea, it's got a population of 2.4 million.

Just as Russia is facing a hostile population in Ukraine how do you think Ukraine would be able to take Crimea at this point? It's one thing to defend against invaders, it's completely another to try and launch your own large invasion.

Russia has only invaded part of Ukraine so far and that took months of build-up and over 100k troops to achieve and... they're getting absolutely hammered in ambushes on their supply convoys etc.. the population is putting up resistance.

Is that the same reality of no chance of Russia invading Ukraine ? Giving anything is defeat Russia while bloodied needs to be pummeled, they are weak.

I'm seeing more and more of this kind of analysis from people who seem credible (this guy is a Professor of Strategic Studies at St. Andrews):

It really does look like Russia done ****** up. They're bogged down, having completely stuffed their logistics, and it's just getting worse for them.

Lets hope they don’t resort to any desperate measures. I don’t see where they go from here if they’re already this stuck…other than backwards of course. Get Russia out, then let’s rebuild Ukraine and get them into nato.

Is that the same reality of no chance of Russia invading Ukraine ? .

This line of argument only really works if the person you are replying to had said there was no chance of Russia invading.

After the west's intelligence services telling us all it was going to happen, most people thought there was a good chance they would....
