Holy ****! 68! The number of lies Boris tells per week!
We're in trouble now.

Why on all videos "of this type" are the comments absolutely cringe worthy?

It's Double Down News, what do you expect?

[edit] That said, it's not a bad video, the guy's largely correct. It's just bizarre that it's presented as "destroys official Ukraine War Narrative" when so much of what he says is exactly what is being said by the mainstream leaders.

Russia isn't going to pull the plug; they need the West buying their fossil fuels much more than the West needs those fossil fuels. Russia's economy is already a complete dumpster fire.
What's the plan in Germany if Russia turns the taps off? Isn't it something like 40% comes from Russia?

Video at start of invasion showed murdered old couple shoot in a car, just released footage from a security camera shows a Russian armoured vehicle open fire on them, shocking scene.

The USA will be on hand to sell them LPG at vastly inflated prices. :D

In all seriousness, there is a global fuel crisis already, and this conflict will make it a lot worse.
That said, it's high time countries started getting serious about renewables, and this will ceratinly be a catalyst for that.

Yeah, we'll be in big trouble. There's time to put together a plan before next winter and we should be okay until then. I suspect I'll be okay, on a personal level, since we don't have any direct gas supply and I live on the edge of a massive windfarm (and next to a mass of solar) but I'm not sure whether we'll see brownouts/blackouts at peak demand. Could be a problem.

Russia, however, will be up **** creek without a paddle. They bluffed, and they got called.

Probably! They must be loving this.

This conflict will rock global energy prices for sure, but it has always been a problem, this recent war has just shuffled things forward a bit, and woken up a few politicans who were previously happy to keep the fossil fuel gravy train running.

It's entirely of our own making, we should have been investing in Nuclear in the last 20 years but we let the eco hippies dictate policy and now we're screwed.

renewables aren't enough for our needs, they'll always be a short-fall, you been brainwashed

It could also be the kick up the behind the first world needs to actually ditch oil and gas as a fuel source.

If the money for nordstream2 had been used for wine/solar/hydro it would have helped a lot!

Of course they are enough, we just need enough of them. If we had spent the money that big oil and gas have spent over the last twenty years on renewables we would be there.

Someone wake up biden.
Hopefully he will come out and say he has an agreement with Eastern European countries to supply Ukraine with fighter jets and their available immediately.

There are people who are now dying of thirst in Mariupol because they can't get fresh water supply's and the Russians won't let the civilians leave. God I hope Biden for one in his 50+ year career comes out with something substantial and meaningful to help these people who are on the brink.

I dunno last time I checked that bright thing in the sky sure does pump out a lot of energy.

Not so much at night.

Renewables are variable, tidal would be a good one for the UK to invest in but we aren't for some reason. You still need a consistent source to make up the shortfalls of renewable energy production, at night / winter, when winds drop etc.

Germany seems to be looking at getting coal power plants ready to take over from gas, dirty short term to go greener long term.
