It's huge. Goldman Sachs' credit exposure to Russia is $650 million. This comes just as Russia is facing a huge default on her foreign debt payments. Brutal timing.

Ooof i bet shareholders aren't too happy about that.

You can see why western stockmarkets have dropped significantly as they write off the losses of pulling out of Russia. I had a look at my stocks and shares ISA yesterday, and the growth that it had from the last 12 months has pretty much been wiped out.

We should play his own words against him:

"Speaking after the failed talks, Lavrov said: 'We are not planning to attack other countries. We didn't attack Ukraine, either.'"

In which case hostile forces in Ukraine aren't Russian and can't trigger an escalation if destroyed...

(Though I've not checked his actual wording - that is just what the news is carrying)
