What is good is that China and the US have endeavoured to maintain channels of diplomacy. They may not like each other but they're not being entirely isolationist unlike Putin.

To whom should the government money go to, the tenant or the property owner? Or a split? I maintain it's a can of worms...
I'm not trying to dissuade people from entering scheme just bringing up an issue that most people, landlords included, probably don't know about.
It would be helpful if the government publish some guidance laying out the process and requirements for renters, landlords and owner occupiers.

Seems Russia is still thinking that when they are finished in Ukraine that sanctions will be lifted. That’s a wild assumption by them..

I know about it and currently have a flat in Edinburgh that I would like to give to the scheme.
I say like to but can't. The way it is just now simply can't be done for me. The current rental for the property is £750pm, I am willing to drop it to £500 which covers the mortgage but only just.
I will hower ever take a hit at the end of the financial year because the mortgage interest is no longer a claimable allowance due to the tax changes a few years ago so will be taxed on the rental income and take a hit I cant offset which I am willing to do.
I am currently trying to get in contact with the council to try and discuss this with a human which is easier said than done if you've ever tried to phone them you will know what I'm talking about.
So the point is the scheme for taking them into your own home can work but LL's like me simply can't take such a big hit, with interest rates set to rise again the division will only widen.
I guess it is about selling it to those who want to believe - those who are still supporters or partners.
I concur, especially if there won't be help when it comes to getting them out.

The humanity surprises me. Yes they have been bombed to smithereens but what if they spill tea on the carpet.So apparently the FSB was tasked with implementing a coup which would have occurred along with the invasion to swiftly get rid of the government, unfortunately for Putin like everything else in his kleptomanic society these people were mere apparitions much like those soldiers that Afghan commanders pretended existed to pilfer what would have been their salary.
