Being in the armed forces doesnt mean you know anything pal.

I aint angry. I just think that Ukraine should stand their ground. Not roll over like you want them to do. Fight the evil, mentally disturbed aggressor, not run like you are wanting.

The world didnt roll over when hitler came knocking!

Despite the impression some might get I'm very anti-war, but anti-war needs to be mixed with a healthy dose of reality and pragmatism - taking any chance to end a war isn't necessarily the right thing to do in the longer run even though the situation right now might be atrocious and unconscionable.

Absolute nonsense, Putin wanted Ukrain back in his pocket, under his control. Nothing was stopping this war.

Ok at the start I claimed Ukraine not joining NATO was key and if Ukraine agreed this could end the war.

Some others had a different view and said that Putin will not stop until he takes over Ukraine.

Currently the peace plans key point is that Ukraine not join NATO, there is no hand over the keys to your country clause in there.

You can make excuses and say you saw a twitter post which claimed 10,000 Russian soldiers die each day and that Russia does not have any tanks left as they have all been destroyed.
But it is Ukraine that keeps pushing for the peace talks and not Russia, not that I disagree with what Zelensky is doing.

Sounds like there is possibility that part of Ukrainian army may get cut off near Mariaupol (sorry if I spelt that wrong.)

He had previously threatened Ukraine with military action unless they agreed not to join nato, this is quite some time before the invasion.

I’d counter that by asking who do the people demanding they essentially surrender think they are? It’s the Ukrainian people who get to say if they should fight on and it appears they very much want to.
Not only that but they appear to be winning with the Russians taking losses that are unsustainable the longer this goes on.

Edit: also your remark about children dying. It almost sounds like you’re victim blaming the Ukrainians… that is not a good look

I can’t believe people are still naively parroting the Kremlin talking point of nato membership being some sort of existential threat to mother Russia. There was no direct threat, neither from Ukraine being a member nor the three other countries already on their border that are members. It would be a threat for one thing, to what they are doing right now, actually invading! They know full well Nato would never attack Russia.

Ukraine didn’t ask or want this war. It was thrust upon them. Calls for them to capitulate when they appear to be essentially winning are ridiculous. Should the British have gone after peace after Dunkirk? Might have saved a lot of lives from the Blitz. That’s rhetorical btw
