And a Lt Gen(3 star) at that, someone that’s 2 steps below a field marshal shouldn’t be anywhere near the front line

It's been suggested that they are near the frontline because they've been sent forward to sort out the problems the war is facing, and would otherwise be further back.

Besides, it saves Russia from having to murder them after the war is over.

It's up to russian people to take a stand, do they have the desire and courage that the Ukrainians have???
A large portion of the Russian population (if not the majority) are backwards and bone headed combine that with generations of state propaganda you end up with a population that can't think for itself and becomes reliant on authoritarian leaders to provide stability and direction.

It might get better when the majority of the population is born outside of the Soviet era and there are some signs this is starting to change as we've seen some Russian's are now questioning the actions of thier government but it's not enough imo.

The corpses of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine are being moved from Belarus back to Russia by train and planes in the dead of night to avoid attracting attention, it has emerged. Video posted by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty shows military ambulances driving through the Belarusian city of Homel in early March, with employees at the region's clinical hospital claiming more than 2,500 bodies have already been shipped back to Russia as of March 13. Ukraine's military says that more than 14,000 Kremlin troops have been killed since the Russian invasion on February 24, while one US intelligence estimate has put the number at around 7,000. Moscow's Defence Ministry says that less than 500 soldiers have been killed.

Helicopter attack on Hostomel airport from a Russian cockpit. No gore.

Cool video, I don't understand the tactics of flying around in one area continually like shown though, it's obviously asking to be targeted. Why don't they make sweeping passes at known targets. I think the US's approach would be vastly different in a conflict like this though. Their unmanned drones can identify and target enemies on the ground far more effectively from a much greater altitude in the sky.

Horrific videos of:
Old couple shot up in their car by an apc
The father and son both shot in car and die in a ditch together
Drone footage of a soldier chasing after a man who got out of his car with hands up and was shot

That's three off the top of my head I could think of.
was anyone apologising ?
people like me were just pointing out even America bombed civilian air raid shelters, hospitals etc in wars too.

but with Russia ofcourse it's intended targets, where as America was merely accidents, accidents don't happen when it's an enemy.
I'm still yet to see any rescue operation footage from the bombed theatre
This is the place right? how come there's no ambulances or anything there? but now places are saying there's rescue operations under way?

Why don't they show images of the rescue like they did with the hospital that seemed to contain 1 woman?

it's incredibly hard to know what's absolute propaganda and what's actually true.

The first casualty of war is always the truth.

something makes me think if hundreds or thousands of people were really trapped there would be footage of the rescue by now, it's been about 4 days?

We get articles and headlines based on what's essentially hearsay and everyone just accepts it's the truth.

it seems like an atrocity they should be showing off to the world to pressure russia into a ceasefire or whatever, but instead it's just silence and no one bothers to question it.

@arknor - All these people are suffering and all you're thinking of are conspiracy theories. Perhaps you're just ill-informed.

The Soviet era ended over 30 years ago, they already have >40% of the population born outside of the Soviet era and >55% of it raised outside of the Soviet era.

The opinion of the people isn't the problem, the problem is that Putin is an elected leader in name only, because when you have an unpopular leader who retains power by ensuring that there is nobody alive/willing to oppose them and that their elections are a mere formality to continuing their rule under the guise of legitimacy, that is a form of dictatorship.

Looks like Russia getting started a bit earlier for the night time stuff today with barrages of shelling in various places in the last few minutes.

Agreed. Just one correction: Hitler had chemical weapons, which are classified as WMD. Fortunately, he did not use them extensively on the battlefield.

The reason he did not use them against us was because we had stated explicitly that we would retaliate with them if the Germans, as we expected, used them. Our mustard gas stockpile was expanded in 1940-41 to help repel a possible German invasion. Churchill also suggested doing strikes on German cities using mustard gas and anthrax bombs in retaliation against the Germans for using V-1 and V-2 rockets against London, although his idea was rejected. Jeremy Paxman wrote about this in his book on Chemical and Biological warfare.
