The UK military could make a massive difference in Ukraine. It's one of the world's most powerful.

Lol just like we did in Afghan, and like how the Russian military is powerful as well.

We’d be begging for Europe and America to join us. And we would probably start a nuclear war.

I'd say it's a fairly pertinent situation in which to take actions such as this.
With all due respect what you think is irrelevant.

What matters are those wealthy individuals and countries who are watching this and are wondering if at any moment the west will just decide to take their stuff.

lol masturbatory boomer WW2 cosplay is going to get us all killed. As if the UK can do anything of note these days other than war crimes against brown people who can’t fight back.
He's a labour MP, probably knows its never going to happen and in reality probably wouldn't want it to. But it makes him sound tough criticising the current government approach.

it's one of the worlds most smallest... just pretty modern.

loads of people would be guaranteed to die anyway, unless your going to start attacking Artillery and airports in Russia

The UK were very successful there and made significant headway. Additionally this conflict is completely different. Don't let facts cloud your judgement though.

that cnn page continues to show me just video No one is afraid of Alexey Navalny: Kremlin spokesman to Amanpour 01:48
and I searched for 5 minutes and couldn't see 'right' video - just a million other sites repeating syndicated CNN comments

It shows that we are willing to seize anyone’s or any countries property for any reason we deem fit without due process.
I just view it as pre-emptive war reparations ... and they need to break through Trusts which they have used to hide wealth too. -( 110 people have 37% of rusias wealth. )

Not sure how long they can hold that out but pretty awesome effort trying.

Looks like that salient is going to attempt to cut off the port from the city...

You might want to read up on the battle of Voznesensk a town held by a handful of army units and local militia inflicted the worst defeat on Russian forces in the war so far. They killed a quarter of the attacking troops and nearly all of the hardware and vehicles. If that's what a local volunteer force can achieve do you seriously think a professional, experienced, well trained, motivated and elite force of 40,000 men from the British army wouldn't give the Russian army a cause for concern?

Macron on the blower to Putin again thought he would give up by now.

Worry is that without Ukraine negotiating directly France and Germany could try to force some sort of half-baked deal (Macron would love a "win" here and is susceptible to being strung along by Putin). The other worry is that France and Germany would quite rapidly go back to business as normal with Russia post-conflict, they were the leading exporters of defense equipment to Russia post 2014, a French supermarket chain has refused to stop doing business in Russia and kicked its Ukrainian employees off the corporate e-mail system (one or more of whom died in the recent Russian bombing of a shopping centre), Renault has restarted production of cars in Russia already.

Not totally unexpected from the French, perhaps we should think twice about saving them a second time around.
