Or alternatively take as much money from them as they'll give you to help rebuild your Country, thats what I would consider rather than childishly saying "screw you" which, whilst it make you feel better in the short term, won't help the people of Ukraine one single little bit.

Oh absolutely use their money to help rebuild Ukraine, that should be a given.

When Putin is dead or gone, and Russia have left Crimea. Some mild lifting in response to the end of hostilities is appropriate, but the bulk of sanctions should remain.
Ok. That’s never then.
That’s not in the table for either side.
You go permanent, Cuba style.

Putin and Elvis sharing the same jelly sandwich… according to rumours.

It's turning into Game of Thrones

Changed my mind on this now given recent news, seems it didn't matter as Ambramovich was already made a target, I guess that means it's true that he did offer support

While that is entirely possible, the last time the KBG FSB used this kind of weapons, bystanders were affected too.

Salisbury and the use of Polonium on Litvinenko were very much about terrorising opponents like a mafia don might do. Including the "you cannot prove it was them" while making 100% sure that everyone does know it could only have been them.

I can't believe he's poisoning negotiators now , what on earth was he thinking? I actually question his mental state at this point, doing a Mugabe, going crazy in his old age then destroying the economy and taking countries with him. Wouldn't trust him at-all, best we keep up the strongest possible sanctions and arm Ukraine to the teeth.

I'm not sure Zelensky would paint such a target on the likes of Abramovich if he actually did offer support to Ukraine
Didn't Ukraine execute one of the previous negotiators with a bullet because they thought he was pro-russian?

seems poisoning isn't his style but wouldn't put it past him.

No doubt putin wouldn't make a rookie mistake with dosage

where do you think the poison was? perhaps on the note aimed at Putin? maybe that's why only 3 of the negotiators got sunburn symptoms and not all 4.
maybe one didn't touch the note

The death of the negotiator is a confusing one, yes he died, but nobody seems to know exactly why he died

https://vervetimes.com/russia-ukrai...ireev-accused-of-treason-shot-dead-in-street/

Unverified rumours claim he was executed in the street because he had been acting as a double agent, spying for Putin’s war effort.

“During the arrest, the Security Service of Ukraine shot dead a member of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation Denys Kireev,” Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote on his Telegram channel according to Interfax-Ukraine.

“He was suspected of high treason.”

But the claim was contradicted in the Ukraine Ministry of Defence Facebook post which called him a hero.

“During the performance of special tasks, three scouts were killed – employees of the Chief Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” Ukraine Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

“They died, defending Ukraine, and their act brought us closer to victory!

“On behalf of the Chief Management of Intelligence, we express our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Heroes don’t die! They live until we remember them! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!”

There doesn't seem to be any mention about it since the first week of March so it's an odd one made more odd with the news of use of chemical weapons during negotiations he was involved in

True, but it also allows NATO to complicate Russia's narrative if Turkey is playing 'both sides'. Whilst I should hope that the most important sanctions remain (tech mostly) I think having a comfortable haven within the alliance has potential benefits. For instance it could allow turkey to gather intelligence as well as see how Russia reacts to the offer.
