One of the great ironies of the conflict when Russia complains of USA wanting to rid of Putin yet Putin's number one target was to eliminate Zelenskyy.

You'd need to understand oligarch's background. So the old guard, old oligarchs are the original gangsters from 1990's that ascended during Yeltsin's period of lawlessness. When Putin came to power he basically domesticated or killed or driven out old guard oligarchs who did not yield to him. Then Putin transferred assets from old oligarchs who had fled or were killed off to his friends and family. His friends are family are are new oligarchs. The new oligarchs are an extension of Putin. Old oligarchs are money loving goblins that do not have any allegiances to Russia but they are subjugated by Putin, they have to do what he says or they get killed or have their assets/business taken away.

Abramovich wants to live in the west, he wants to be rich in the west, not in Russia. He also proposed to finance rebuilding of Ukraine after the war and tries to do everything so that the west does not sanction him further. Last I heard he is taking refuge in Israel. Also WallStreetJournal reported that Zelenksy personally asked Biden not to sanction Abramovich.

So in simple terms, Abramovich wants to be on west's good side...whilst retaining good relations with Putin. A dangerous act but he has been toeing this line for a long long time now.

To be fair on the chemical weapon one I don't think Biden meant that the US or NATO would respond with or use chemical weapons he just rather clumsily meant an appropriate level of response. But the denial is just LOL.

Shame there isnt more follow up footage if they got a longer range shot off so the missile could arm. That tank is just a rolling target, no infantry support at all?!

Most of his toys are in the West i.e. chelsea, superyachts and they've been taken away from him playing the broker could return him to favour?

What on earth the alleged poisoning incident about... thats anybodys guess. A warning from the FSB? For what reason? It reminds of the stories of Mafia bosses who lose their positions and/or someone decides they can't be trusted anymore so die in a hail of bullets. The whole of russia sounds like a gangster state

Shame looks like they wasted that one. RPG would have been a better option from that angle and range. Few more meters and that tank would have been toast.

What surprises me is the integrity of Ukraine

as of right now 30%-40% of all gas to Europe is still passing through Ukraine! And yet Zelensky has been begging EU cut of all gas from Russia.

If Ukraine wasn't so moral, it should just go blow up the gas pipeline so EU can't get any gas through the area and more importantly, Russia stops getting paid!

Videos of Ukrainian soldiers castrating captured Russians by shooting then kicking them in the crotch. Torture and will only make this a lot more nasty.
