Putin's got literally no where else to go so might as well stay in the hole for 20 years. Completely backfired on him. So how long until McDonalds' back in Russia you think? I'm not in a rush to visit Russia any time soon :) The Russian people need to fight back and actually install a democracy.

Problem for McDonalds is the equipment will eventually break and they won't be able to replace it unless they source some omegalul version from AliExpress.

Russia are looking for a face saving way out - the bulk of their combat ready forces has had its a$$ handed to it. Expect a lot of disappeared people soon.

Ukrainians should just shoot the Russians in the back as they withdraw reposition de-escalate.

Yep shoot them in the back, don't let off the pressure. They seem to be reducing operations but that doesn't necessarily mean they're being honest with the negotiations, they might have something else planned.
They still have WMDs and have used them in Syria.

Anyone looking for a deeper understanding of Putins position here could do worse than listening to the “Conflicted” podcast, in fact, it gives a deeper understanding of many of the worlds geopolitical issues.

Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Funny seeing just how bad the Russia forces are at times - common tactic for instance is to bring in a AFV quickly alongside infantry, shoot the **** out of potential sniper and anti-armour positions i.e. upper floor windows, etc. then withdraw rapidly - but the Russia troops then move up behind the vehicle for cover when it wants to reverse out....... or tanks moving forward then infantry jumping on the back for cover only to get knocked off when the vehicle turns keeping the turret pointed at the potential hostile and rotating the body resulting in the gun sweeping them off...

Yes commit war crimes. Thats what they should do!

Well the Russian forces during 2014 paid no attention to any notion of honour or mercy when they massacred a unit of Ukrainian forces after agreed upon retreat from territory in Donetsk. These soldiers aren't surrendering so there's no war crime in killing them as they remain active participants in aggressive action, de-escalation is little more than a euphemism for Russia and Ukraine has no patience for it after numerous attempts to give Russia the chance to prove their word was sacred.

Russia insists that “militants” must lay down their weapons in the embattled city of Mariupol, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a phone call earlier today with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

According to a Telegram post by Russia's foreign ministry, the two leaders discussed "current developments" in Ukraine, with a focus on humanitarian efforts.

With regards to Mariupol, Putin "emphasised that in order to resolve the difficult humanitarian situation...Ukrainian nationalist militants must stop resisting and lay down their weapons".

So the Ukrainian Army is a`nationalist militia`

Beautiful if true. Hopefully we’re supplying a good few of these longer range missiles.
Theres still confusion over what caused this. I've yet to see Ukraine take claim of the strike either.
As for long range missiles, highly unlikely they are being supplied. They have their own long range strike capability with the Tochka missile system.
