Is it me to are France and Germany going to Ukraine to say "take the deal". Yet the Russians are threatening remaining FR/DE gas to get FR/DE leaders to act like puppets?

Ukraine's President Yanukovych wasn't removed by Obama, or any other foreign power, he was removed by a unanimous vote of the the Ukrainian parliament. This happened after he reversed the policy he had run for the position on and refused to sign an agreement on further European alignment in favour of joining with Russia's Eurasian Economic Union leading to mass protests which he tried to violently suppress leading to further protests and violence, and his eventual flight to Russia. He was removed from Office after abandoning his position.

After his fall the sheer depth of his corruption and theft from the Ukrainian people was revealed.

Post #1 recognised the president as a corrupt rat.

He left because he knew he'd overplayed his hand and the Russians turned up to get their agent out of Ukraine.

Then, from Russia, he "requested" that the Russian military restore law and order in Ukraine and that's the excuse for the 2014 Russian invasion.

He's a filthy traitor to his own people. But maybe not if his people are the Russians.

Russias ecomony will be damaged badly. The gas and oil are state money, used to keep the war machine running and police ciil services etc running.

The problem Russia has long term is the sanctions stopping or seriously diminishing every day life for the people.

People need jobs to keep the economy going, the next couple of months will be crucial for russia. With no parts to keep factories running and no foreign investment, kepping people in jobs through retail etc the population are going to find it tough.

The west is also slowly finding ways to stop their reliance on russian oil and gas so that will weaken their market significantly.

Give it a couple of months and things will look grim for Russia. The people however will suffer, the kremlin wont give a ****
