Yup. This 100%.
They seem to be really trying to keep it under wraps - though the odd social media post from soldiers wanting some recognition as to what is going on. Which likely means a significant amount of professional soldiers involved rather than the territorial/volunteer and national guard, etc. units which have been the mainstay of a lot of action.
EDIT: Given the NASA FIRMS imagery it looks like Ukraine are making fair progress towards Kherson - a lot of the heat sources are on the outskirts rather than towards Ukrainian positions which while not overly reliable tends to hint towards which way momentum is going.

Right so you want Ukrainian women and children to fight to the death and no peace talks as you don't trust Putin.
Other members have shown all sorts of clear hate towards Russians and some trying to justify the Russophobia that is here.
Deaths of Russians is celebrated quite often by you lot.
Suffering of the general Russian population ie shortage of food is celebrated by you lot.
Lies from members here are repeatedly told about Russians creating more hate towards Russians.
I want an end to the invasion and peace talks, I refuse to hate Russians over Putins actions, I have repeatedly called out lies that so many of you spew here, I have stood up against the russophobia from you lot... yet I should be banned ?

That is not at all what I said and you know it.
Being in opposition for the sake of opposition doesn't accomplish anything, especially not when you bring a level of insincerity with it repeatedly changing the context of people's posts to try and make them look like they are saying something which fits your agenda when clearly the poster didn't mean what you are saying.
That was exactly your point and you had over a week to clarify your point as I brought it up again and again and again.
My point was clear it needed no clarification and at no point did I take a pro-war position.

It shouldn't be that hard to follow, it's literally the post you quoted, go back and re-read the thread. I replied to your reply to that post, the post referenced 2 months and the reply I made (which you still refuse to quote in full for obvious reasons) makes it pretty clear what I'm referring to.

At no point do I advocate abandoning all and any negotiations and fighting to the death as you claim - but negotiations need to have a realistic chance of producing an enduring peace or they will fail, more people will likely die due to the way Russia has been attempting to use negotiations to game the situation on the battlefield, and Russia has not laid the ground work for such negotiations to happen in good faith - it is not difficult to understand.
A small number of people have, a tiny fragment really, 90+% of the posts in this thread have been simply following events with a bit of personal opinion as to where things are going in the future - if you are reading hatred towards Russian people in most of the posts in this thread there is something very wrong with you.
Wonder how Ukraine is going to tackle the Russian Advance in the East. Other than flanking in the North East, I don't really see a plan there. I get that their priority is on Black Sea access, but I am still concerned that it is either being held or lost in the East. Even with the high ground overlooking those areas
As things move towards Bakhmut it is going to put Ukraine under a lot of pressure as much of their efforts in the region revolve around there. That area of the east is actually largely irrelevant in the larger fight though if Ukraine can continue to make gains from Kherson and Kharkiv and putting Russian supply lines under strain while mobilising enough reserves to hold areas they've liberated, especially those bordering Russia, to stop Russian forces simply moving back in then in the longer run they can squeeze Russian forces in the eastern areas. The important thing is to make it as costly for Russia to advance in those areas while minimising losses on the Ukraine side, giving up territory in a controlled fashion.
EDIT: A lot of what Ukraine needs to do currently is buy time to mobilise enough reserves to fill in behind the professional forces so Russia can't just manoeuvre and keep coming back.
Canada will supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 39 new infantry support combat vehicles (ACSV) this summer as well as 6 high resolution cameras for use with their Bayraktar drones.

the problem is what is there to talk about RE peace talks ? is Putin going to pull out back to start of the year borders and pay for the damage his invasion has caused? if not why should Ukraine listen to him? (not saying they won't in the end be forced into it but if they are it is an injustice).
imagine if France invaded Britain and it was a bloody war. would the British be unreasonable if they didn't want to hear about peace talks which involved giving up Devon and Cornwall?
as for the Russian people. I don't hate them at all. I think some are brainwashed but others, those who dare to speak up risking arrest and far worse I have huge respect for
Sadly you can say the same for a number of people in this thread (and many others in GD/SC), funny enough its the same individuals every time. Mostly why I just stay out of it for the most part, you cant argue with stupid.
I try not to use the ignore function, generally I'm mature enough to not let others opinions bother me however some people in here just talk so much ****, I have to... Just to stop myself wasting time replying to nonsense.

Do you know what the red dots represent?
Heat sources - some are likely unrelated to combat (for example might be where a power station is located) but many in the approx. region where war is ongoing will represent where things like where multiple buildings are on fire from shelling, sometimes even picking up on spots where stuff like MLRS are operating from.

Interesting that it doesn't seem to have been the French CAESARs that were used as per Russian media but rather a bit of home-grown 155mm Ukrainian artillery that hasn't been seen until now:
I guess Russia was able to just about cope with the drone attacks and occasional airstrike, there are a rather limited amount of munitions that can be put on target that way, at least via the drones and the airstrikes are super risky... but once they've got artillery in the area that can lob multiple 155mm shells on target then it's game over, they simply couldn't hold the island any longer as it's just turned into a turkey shoot for Ukraine.

I can't link to it directly here (as it contains footage of an attack) but there is a video from the Ukrainians on twitter, they were using some of their home grown self-propelled 155mm artillery, with fire control from a Bayraktar drone to strike the island.
I hadn't realized they'd got to the point where they were shelling it, I previously assumed it was just drone strikes by Bayraktar (relatively small, targeted munitions) and then recently HIMARS.
