When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Always preferred the Sapphire brand to others. Would this not drive the prices down of the 6650XT? 6700 for £399, 6650XT for £379? 6700 would be about 10% faster if not more?

It should do be they are reluctant to move prices, I guess it all depends on their stock levels VS their forecast and if they feel the need to drop price, if they know they can sell what they have then to drop price is just giving away unnecessary margin and as times have returned to more normal I suspect they are back to operating on single digit margins and no doubt losses on higher-end product. Time will tell!

Will be an interesting few weeks for sure. Will keep an eye on prices next week, might splurge on 6800XT and skip the next gen chaos!

I think that is a legitimate factor however is it not also true to say the manufactures of the silicon could (if they wanted) supply the AIBs with cheaper chips, and is it not also true to point out the price gorging the AIBs themselves indulged in so its a bit rich for them to bank the profits and then plead poverty. The truth is they have now saturated the market at the MSRP price points which imho were too high to start with on the higher end models.

I bought my GPU from OcUK btw so I'm not aiming criticism at the retailers I just think its important to expose the full extent of the pricing crime.

They haven't dropped 38% under MSRP. They have dropped 38% taking them under MSRP.

I think its a poor translation. I doubt there is an MSRP in China. The prices in USD are still quite high. A bit below the official dollar MSRP.

I think many miners will not sell up, because used GPU prices have already dropped but most miners have made their money back, maybe 1 to 2 times over and might still be making some money off mining and holding out until crypto sky rockets again so that they will take the profits. GPU prices will only drop so far, so they might think that it is not worth them selling a £2,200 GPU for £900 so they hold on to them and keep mining any coin that becomes profitable.

What you mean exactly like last time then? Turn off the rigs till they become profitible again? *gasp* almost as if we had this before.....

UK electric up threefold, warm summer months?

Gamers have a plethora of options, under or around original MSRP.. yet nobody is buying! Maybe now the miners are out of the buying equation we can conclude the consumer has obtained their hardware already. If people don't want to pay these prices they were never going to buy them anyway.

If only AMD were competitive I would buy them be able to get my nvidia card cheaper!

Better to sell the cards and buy ETH while the price is low, if the coin price then trebles and becomes profitable again you'll be able to buy more cards back for your money.

I think most miners keep the telling themselves that they don't gamble. As long as they keep fooling themselves!

Nope thats not how the miners work , hence why so many have RX 580/570/480/470 and GTX 1000 series cards.
