I don’t think any sane person would suggest wiping Russia out. They either said it in anger not meaning it or perhaps meant the Russian decision makers or forces in Ukraine?
If they did mean the whole country then I’d point you back to the first sentence.

Malevolence's post quoted below was very specific about their hate for the entirety of Russia and that the unapologetic solution was just to murder all of them which, as you mentioned, leads back to your first statement regarding sane people -

On the Odessa fire: I think people need to hang back until the cause is confirmed. As has been posted here earlier, grain needs to be handled carefully as it can explode.

If it was a Russian missile, then that needs to be shouted from the rooftops and every single country who is facing increased grain prices shown why they are not be trusted. Many countries implicitly supported Russia in the UN by abstaining or voting with them, those countries need the consequences of supporting liars ramming home.

I'm sure one of the resident trolls will be along to claim it as a false flag :rolleyes:

It would certainly give the locals a wake up call to what's really going on but the trouble is just as likely to galvenaise support for Putin at a time when support for his war seems to be dropping.

Putin will just order a new round of apartment bombings, so no need for Ukraine to do anything on that front... not that they would have course.

However with how little the West trusts the Russian government there's a lot of space for Ukraine to achieve infrastructural damage without being the treated as the sole suspect so long as they don't admit to it.

I am honestly now of the opinion that as this is a computer gaming forum, and many if not most computer games seem militarised or violent, some here are inured or ignorant to the horrors of war and exist in a bubble of pseudo reality.

It would be psychologically interesting if their take on the annihilation of millions of people in a different country was tested by conscription and the order to carry this out, against ruthless opponents, in the cold reality of real combat.

I suggest that as most advocating this ethnic cleansing seem relatively young they have never heard word of mouth descriptions of being sent to a foreign country and being ordered to kill as many as possible, like it or not. Most in the UK who have witnessed a proper ground war are dead.

I've not posted much in this thread because it seems to me to have become very "toxic". But your reply, i 100% agree with.
For the Russians to fire 4 cruise missiles at Odessa within hours of signing that agreement, screems that they have NO intention of keeping to the agreement. Plus, yesterday there were reports of the Turks detecting a Russian submarine going through the Bosporus from the Sea of Marmara into the Black sea. That on it's own breaks a Treaty signed by ALL black sea states in 1923 and would be a watershed of treaty violations for ALL Black sea nations. There are 2 types of naval vessels that are 100% not allowed to pass through the Bosporus under the treaty, aircraft carriers and submarines.
After the cruise missile attacks on Odessa, if i were a Ukrainian military commander and had control over modern western weapon systems that could hit Russian or Russian held Black sea ports...............i would unleash hell on all of them.

Problem is Ukraine no longer have the ability to threaten Moscow.

They decommissioned all their long range missiles, launchers/planes and construction facilities in the early 1990s (in exchange for western assurances of assistance if Russia ever threatened them) and all their medium range missiles, launchers and construction facilities in the early 2010s (in exchange for western assurances of assistance if Russia ever threatened them). So they no longer have anything capable of hitting Moscow from inside Ukraine.

Any coincidence between Ukraine getting rid of it's ability to strike back at Russia if attacked and then Russia beginning to annex Ukraine a couple of years later are of course, completely coincidental :rolleyes:

I cba to search back in the thread for when it was mentioned, but you get the idea now I hope. I see now that the evidence is pointing more to Russia being their usual lying selves, but hadn't seen reports from sources I'd consider credible when I posted earlier. Grain explosions are definitely a thing and I was considering the likelihood of an accident being higher if the more experienced port hands are off fighting and new people are rushing to get the grain out.
