We sent them 1000s of NLAWs alone - probably around 1/3rd the number of tanks Russia has.

I see frequently questions as to why they need so many or need more - intentionally or otherwise people seem to forget they'll also be used against BTRs, BMPs, and other armoured vehicles, etc. which are generally more numerous than tanks, that Ukraine has nearly 1000 miles of front line and about the same again in borders with hostile counties to deal with so need significant coverage to make sure sufficient are in place anywhere they might be needed.

If this oil price cap comes in, it's gonna be a painful Winter for Russia.

Russia cannot stop producing oil and gas, even if there is less demand for their product because they can't sell it to Europe, they can't stop and will have to either just burn everything coming out of the ground or sell it at a loss to India and China

Russia would continue to within its own border capacity store oil and gas for its own use
These storage points as well as trade export points with russian pals would have course be targets

consider we go full on world war. GDP etc - matters nothing - exchange rates, banks etc - mean nothing.
But the strategy is to force Russia into a war footing where its economy is totally ****** and surrounded.
Gambling that by using Ukaine and their people as a buffer.
How nice are we?

Not paying your troops is asking for trouble, I wonder why Russia is having trouble with payments, they possess the Rubble currency so should be able to send it? No sanctions would prevent them using their own local currency.

Imagine fighting in a war and risking your life, in a conflict you probably don't want to be in, and not even getting paid for it?

The commanders, elite groups or Wagner mercs are stealing it no doubt. Perhaps also needing to use it to pay for equipment since command has no interest in wasting their golden parachutes on these bullet sponges.
