Russia has about 11% of the worlds landmass and is the biggest (by landmass) country in the world by a considerable margin, but still not happy and wants more at any cost. What a sad screwed up world we live in :(

It’s not the rounds that’s the problem, if they are firing off rounds at a rate where they have depleted their own supply, the barrels of those guns will be absolutely ******. I wouldn’t want to be within 500 yards of those guns firing.

Saw estimates the other day that those artillery systems they are pulling out of deep storage around 1/3rd will suffer premature barrel malfunction before they've fired 1000 rounds unless cycled out for full maintenance - and estimated they are averaging 25 rounds per day through them putting the life expectancy at about 40 days max of firing.

EDIT: Similar seems to hold true for their artillery ammo stocks - probably 1/3rd of the rounds aren't in ideal condition any more. I'm not sure why, other than maybe political reasons, they are sourcing ammo via North Korea though unless their reserves are in a worst state or more depleted than on paper - on paper they do have large stockpiles it isn't just something the Russian supporters say.
