Must be getting awkward for the vatniks in Luhansk and Donetsk that their glorious Russian benefactors aren't quite what they promised, suspect Ukraine won't have much trouble having to deal with insurgents or traitors because they'll run at first sign of danger right across the border.

It doesn’t really make a difference, they now have nothing but 60s level equipment to arm them with. With the amount of troops going into the capital he probably fears a coup

Even if Russia mobilise I can't see them winning. Ukraine will just get more aid, kit, training etc.

If Russia really wanted to win this they should have gone in with overwhelming force in the first week, instead what we had was a bit of a circus.

Exactly this, the longer it went on the more time Ukraine had to regroup which then leans to Ukraine winning or having the advantage in the peace talks

if the russians cut and run and leave the seperatists to swing in the wind , it doesnt send a good message to the other regions they helped 'liberate'

He’s truly lost his mind if not. Their military has been significantly weakened, sanctions have meant they can’t replace the crap that they have that is clearly completely outmatched, they’ve pushed several countries into NATO, have forced NATO to rearm, made Ukraine a country that we have no choice but to pour money into and eventually pull into NATO if not officially but in terms of future support and have forced Europe to get their energy elsewhere. Impressive.
