Producing newer vehicles does allow them to be supplied to units elsewhere freeing up hardware to use in Ukraine but overall doesn't seem the most useful approach for the kind of scales and times required when it comes to Ukraine.
Looks like the coup is on if the breaking news out of Moscow is right. Its begun.... More and more political calls for Putin to resign all over Moscow.
Link? Or is this just re the general rumblings about some figures starting to criticise him and the district councils calling for him to be removed? Definitely interesting that they feel able to say things like that now...Looks like the coup is on if the breaking news out of Moscow is right. Its begun.... More and more political calls for Putin to resign all over Moscow.
Not seen any new news on this, there were some officials in St Petersburg calling for him to go a couple of days ago but that's a long way away from an actual coup.Looks like the coup is on if the breaking news out of Moscow is right. They should be careful not to fall out of any windows. It's a common problem apparently.

DPR 'leader' has seemingly not been heard or seen from since his rickety video in a car where it definitely looked like he was running. At this point, you have to wonder if LNPR and DPR are starting to brick themselves with the idea that Russia might actually pull out of Crimea.
Good question isn't it... Often coups just seem to replace one terrible dictator with another, slightly less competent dictator. Leaders like Putin tend not to allow people with a strong belief in liberal values to rise into positions of power... You never know, could start things moving in the right direction though, especially if diplomacy with other countries made it clear that it would be better for them to move in that direction.Even if Putin was replaced would it just be another former FSB dictator or would it be an actual government with free and fair elections?
Thinking about it, they may not be for Ukraine at all. After Russia's heavy losses since February, they need to rebuild their forces regardless of whether they intend to throw them into the thresher of Ukraine.
Good luck with that.
