Do any of the major nations have effective anti-missile technology? Could Russia rely on shooting down any incoming nukes?

I have no idea but by all accounts nukes aren't easy things to shoot down if sent on an ICBM.

I don't really think we gain much by entertaining what ifs on nuke scenarios, if Russia are stupid enough to fire nukes then we're all pretty doomed, including Russia themselves.

I agree with what other people above me have said, best not to worry about it, you can't control it, and being worried about it won't change anything.

Looking at how their Air defence has performed in Ukraine I very much doubt they have anything that can intercept ICBMs, as far as i have read I don’t think any nation has anything that could reliably intercept an ICBM. High energy lasers could be one possibility

They remind me of V1's.

So Russia is now targetting Ukraine with V1's under the guise of removing Nazi's. This war gets stranger and stranger.
Just before the rainy season and all that mud lol, would be a good time to blow up the Kurch bridge. now that would put the cat among the pigeons. instead of the Russians breaking olympic running records, they will be looking to breaking swimming and sailing records lol in their panic to exit Crimea.

No nation has a system capable of defending against a full on nuclear exchange. Some countries have the capability on paper for limited defence against a small number of missiles.

Russia's S-500 complex can do it but they've been struggling with the software side in terms of scalability and reliability so can easily be overcome by just increasing the number of nukes you send a bit. (Which may be a factor in why we've slightly increased our maintained number of warheads).

I think at this point I fail to believe anything about the claimed capabilities of Russian arms.
