Agreed.

Additional time to negotiate an exit?
I don't really see how that would work to be honest...

Unless he is willing to relinquish all of the Ukraine which they had taken including back in 2014, there is no road to an "exit" without him looking as incompetent and useless as his military seems to be.

I don't wish to alarm you, but you could be electrocuted in your own home by a faulty appliance, hit by a car on the way to work, or struck by lightning when you step outside.

Do any of these far more likely outcomes not concern you more?

Really?

I am very careful around electrical appliances. I am also very careful concerning cars and well lighting is even more random. What I cant do is **** all about Putin doing a Trump and throwing his toys out of his pram.

Yes really.
People getting all wound up and worried about a WW3-eqsue nuclear exchange when they have 0 control over any of it is frankly foolish.

Worry about what you CAN influence, not what you can't.

If someone locks you in a room and tells you they are coming back in 30 minutes with a gun to kill you.

You sitting there singing songs having a good time?

Nobody has done this to you though. This is entirely the point.

You are focusing on something entirely out of your control, coming up with more and more ridiculous ideas to support your position of worrying yourself to death over something you have ZERO influence of.

There is nothing healthy that comes from that.

I rang Putin on a back channel to get the low down, and it turns out that the real issue is one of their nuclear subs has sunk and they really need some help rescuing it. Also the piece of paper with the codes for the air dropped bombs has been eaten by a rat, and turns out all of the missile silos are empty because the general in charge sold the missiles to the North Koreans years ago.

So if we'd please just wait 10 years he'd love to have a nuclear exchange, but right now just doesn't suit him.

Phew!

"Sberbank was down 99.72% year-to-date to trade for around a single penny before the suspension, while Gazprom was down 93.71%, Lukoil 99.2%, Polyus 95.58% and EN+ 20.51%."

This is correct.

When Putin first invaded Ukraine in February I had one night where I was really anxious, and I am not an anxious person at all.

Then I realised I have no control over any huge World events and just got on with my life ever since. If he nukes me tomorrow, tough luck for me but I can't stop him.

I hope @Rage1999 gets this.

It isn't an great outcome for the human race. But personal anxiety isn't something we should be having about this. That is unless you have skin in the game so to speak like the Ukrainian people do.

Being nuked from afar is the least of my worries at the moment. Lol

I didn't think the stock market was collapsing that bad yet, the Russian version of the FTSE was still above the drop it had back in Feb, kind of took that as misleading news that wasn't really reading into a longer term trend yet.

If it falls below the level it was back in Feb and keeps going, then yep, we have a news thingy.

Edit - it's the MOEX, this would need to get below 2000 I think to beat the low earlier in the year. Today has been very rocky though, falling stock market is generally a sign of investors losing faith.
