Point being?
You realise they turned the tap off already? Can't see anywhere reporting nord stream is back open
They lay that story to rest I believe. They’ve said they won’t be reopening it until we remove sanctions. They can’t play that card any further now, and that was their biggie.Just replacing a that [insert random part, turbine..] any day now, oops sorry looks Yodel have lost it, next week, comrade promise (insert smiley face meme).
There are multiple pipelines into Europe. Nord stream is the biggest and goes directly to Germany which is why Russia has weaponized it.You realise they turned the tap off already? Can't see anywhere reporting nord stream is back open
Europe has built up about 3 months of supply now so should be able to get through the winter. What tap are you talking about? EU is not buying Russian energy

It is easy to maintain the reserves during the summer months but once a cold snap hits they will be deleted quickly. On top of that Russia could, and probably will, turn off the other pipelines.

I think events of the last few hours have shown that whatever the cost now pales compared to the cost in the long run of doing nothing.

From the BBC:35km and growing queue of Russians trying to escape to Finland
They better hurry cause Finland's foreign minister just announced they are about to close the border to Russia
From the BBC:
Following Vladimir Putin’s announcement earlier of a call-up for thousands of extra troops to fight in Ukraine, rumours have been circulating online that people are fleeing Russia and crossing the border to neighbouring Finland.
A Twitter post
that purports to show a border queue stretching “over 35km” (16 miles) has been liked and retweeted many thousands of times.
However, the video embedded in the tweet was originally posted two days ago on a TikTok account and is unconnected with Mr Putin’s speech.
Such has been the attention caused by the tweet that a senior official from the Finnish border authority, Matti Pitkäniitty, has posted his own tweet
denying there is anything abnormal about the situation at the border.
