Adjust it yourself... You have to login to the website though, I can't seem to see how to do it on the app.
Choose payments and then adjust payment amount/date.
It will tell you what they recommend and you can adjust to 10% max lower than this.
It's the actual tariff I mean - from the 1st I was supposed to be on a fix that is more than the new cap - I had assumed that they would adjust the tariff on the fixed to match the cap - but it seems I will have to ring up and request to be moved to the SVR..
I find it baffling that they still can’t tell me what my fix will change to on 1st October.I see Eon have this statement now up for fixed tariff customers. Still a tad confusing. I think it reads that those of us who signed up for V19 etc will not only receive the deduction set by the government but we'll be set at the sane cap as those on SVR tariff. If I've read the latter part of the statement correctly.
'For the small number of customers who fixed at a high rate exceeding the October Ofgem price cap of £3,549 (£3,674 paying on receipt of bill), they will receive the full discount of 16.998p for electricity and 4.2p for gas. To make sure that those customers also benefit from the EPG we will bring their fixed price down to be in line with the government's £2,500 average threshold.'
Would you like a phone call from the ceo?
Paying people the money directly would be a car crash.
I’m sorry you’ve been confused. Perhaps rely on social media posts from your energy supplier rather than the news.
Under the ‘People’s Power Plan’, Labour will deploy clean power at the scale and pace needed to deal with the climate emergency. This means delivering 52GW of offshore wind by 2030, equivalent to 38 coal power stations. Labour’s new wind farms will be enough to provide electricity for 57 million households. (when the wind blows)
A ‘People’s Power Fund’ will be created from 20 per cent of all profits from the publicly owned stake, investing between £600 – £1,020 million each year into ‘bricks and mortar’ infrastructure in held-back coastal communities such as harbour fronts, leisure centres, libraries and parks.
....
These plans form part of Labour’s ‘Electric Car Revolution’ including:
- Investing £3.6 billion into a mammoth roll out of electric vehicle charging networks.
- 2.5 million interest free loans for the purchase of electric vehicles saving buyers up to £5,000.
- A scrappage scheme for fossil fuel cars over ten years old saving buyers £2,000.
- Calling on business car fleets to go 100 per cent electric by 2025, including by removing the £320 Vehicle Excise Duty surcharge on electric vehicles purchased for fleet use about £40,000, and installing EV charging stations in all workplaces that transition their entire fleet to EVs by 2025, and maintaining the existing schedule for company car tax for pure electric vehicles at 2 per cent beyond 2022/23.
We can sell to Europe and they can spin down their gas / coal / bio - we can then buy back when the wind doesn’t blow.Labour ... no discussion on storage of all this wind power they'll generate , some attempt to make ev's more viable for private
You can look up your regional GO pricing on the Octopus websitehrrrrm.
So.
Work is launching an electrical car scheme through Octopus.
I am not with Octopus.
The enormous question will be - will I be able to switch to Octopus and go straight onto SVR (or guaranteed price or whatever) as part of this package?
(I have no exit charge on my current fix with BG)
/edit
this is probably a daft question, considering I believe the package is with octopus go.
What kind of rates will I get, anyone know?
The H98 that runs past Hayes & Harlington station went EV in 2017/18.I drive behind an electric bus that must have been charged at Yardley Wood bus depot going to Solihull most mornings. EV buses are already here.
hrrrrm.

I'm happy to switch. British gas are flipping hopeless! My company has just done the same, you don’t need to switch to Octopus to get an EV though them.
However the economics are hard to deny (especially if you have Solar PV and battery storage)
My go rate 39.25 peek and 7.5 off peek for 4hr starting at 9:30.
Edit: if you do switch don’t forget To get a referral code, this can be applied after joint as well.

What's the referral code thing?
I'm hoping that soon enough we'll be able to use the car battery as an energy source for the house.
Thanks - I have smart meters already. You need a smart meter for go but Octopus installed one within a week of me joining.
You split £100 with whoever refers you, but I won’t provide a link due to thread rules.
V2G or V2H although on paper sounds good is very limited currently.
Interesting, so public ownership of wind farms if I read that right, I can accept that, the EV plan is ok providing the shift doesnt make Electric even more expensive. The increase in demand for EV needs to be countered with supply.Labour ... no discussion on storage of all this wind power they'll generate , some attempt to make ev's more viable for private buyer
God help us if milliband is the brains behind this.Interesting, so public ownership of wind farms if I read that right, I can accept that, the EV plan is ok providing the shift doesnt make Electric even more expensive. The increase in demand for EV needs to be countered with supply.
Fingers crossed it’s David if true.God help us if milliband is the brains behind this.
