Going to be cannon fodder for the Ukrainians at this point. Russia going down the war of attrition route which if there isn’t an uprising in Russia they are going to be more able to sustain than Ukraine but the cost is going to be huge.

Not just bullet wounds, but other penetrating and heavily bleeding injuries too. I always keep a handful of tampons in the first aid kit.

I don't blame them.
I always wonder how accurate the subs are in these videos and how much propaganda meme crap they are.
It's war, even if most of what was shown was happening it is impossible to discern it from misdirection without actually being there.
One has to make a conscious choice to either disbelieve it all, have a limit on what is clearly too absurd or wait until Russia denies or projects something as then you know it's true.

Can Putin alone launch nuclear weapons? As in he does not need a couple of generals or who ever to agree to the launch also?
The trouble is that Putin probably has Generals around him who are as mad as him
Scared is the right answer and using nukes will mean the end of Russia and them, and self-preservation wins out.

I don’t think the Ukrainians ever had control over or the ability to launch or detonate any of the Soviet era nuclear weapons left behind.
And why would they.
They didn't have a nuclear program, The Soviet Union did and when that collapsed it remained with Russia.
To do something with the abandoned nukes they'd have to put billions into their own program, **** off Russia, **** off the west and they'd only just become an independent country 5 minutes ago.
What kind of logic was there in anything other than arranging with Russia to have the Soviet weapons removed and destroyed.
If they have the launch sites and the missiles, getting them working is not a major obstacle, although longer term keeping a viable nuclear threat is a major investment that Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan could probably not have sustained. Their mistake was accepting such weak-sauce guarantees in return for giving up the weapons when they did. Even then, I'm not sure anyone could have predicted Russia's descent into madness.
