I imagine at that range, the first one to get their gun on target would win. The T80 isn’t significantly more advanced than a T64, in fact, a T80 is basically a T64 with a gas turbine instead of a Diesel engine.

The T64 couldnt even see the T80 (not thermal sight) - and today learnt that the sights are non adjustable magnified as well

Odd way of attacking, looks like something from WW1; run straight at the enemy using the cover of open fields and daylight without artillery or armour support. But yes looking at the photo and that google maps screenshot that does appear to be the same place.

I would guess, that apart from stuff like drones and intel, the fighting is pretty much like WW1.

The video of the T80 punching through the T64 at point blank range (through ERA) shows the directness of this war, and the weakness of older vehicles.

is that the video where the Ukraine tank is in a forested area going forwards and backwards, and the Russians approach from the fields potted with artillery hits and just opens up first.... then it ends with more vehicles from the Russian side coming into view

aerial view from a drone.

Russian losses are rising as of September 30th.

The telling stat is the +0 next to cruise missiles. It says a lot of the inventory levels of Russia's precision guided munitions or lack off.

500 guys, ouch! Thats going to go much higher with the untrained drunks being thown into the mix.

The uptick in UAV losses is replacing the cruise missiles as they are mostly using the Iranian Shahed-136 loitering drone instead.

They seem to be focusing these on Odesa being launched from ships in many cases but Ukraine has now worked out how to jam these so they can focus defence here.

They aren't the fastest and basically run on a strimmer engine so can be heard coming from miles away.

Perfect fodder for the gepards.

Well who did it, would it be the Russians who could just turn the taps off at source and if things do get better, easy to turn them back on?

Or would it be the U.S who have openly admitted it, will force EU to find alternatives and to punish Russia.

Hmmm....so hard to figure out.

And those that find this funny are laughing because?
