Energy Prices (Strictly NO referrals!)

adjacent to that link seems Octopus will commercialise a decent energy monitor ,
if this is free (you can get them from 3rd parties but $$) it'll be the incentive to swap to octopus and get a smart meter install

Signed up for that, cheers

My chameleon ihd from bulb shows electric instantly, but the gas updates every 30 minutes. The connection is quite bad has to be next to the window nearest the meter

Looking at my meter Eon has upped the rate - yesterday was £1.97 for 8.93Kwh.
At the moment it's showing ££2.10 for 5.47Kwh.

Roll on our next pension increase.

Luckily for you it looks lik you'll get the rate of inflation as a pensioner. People like the disabled will most likely get very little to help them.

Hi. stupid question and probably already covered somewhere in this mammoth thread .

my direct debit is now really low (£3.06) thanks to solar and good insulation.

at the moment (I expect it to change was we get to November) I am only using a tiny amount of electricity from the grid and pennies worth of gas.

will I still get excess overpayments added as credit to my account? the last 6 months of paying £70 a month add I have steadily built up a nice credit buffer.

thanks.
I am with Octopus.

I'm the same, very low consumption from the grid due to solar/battery (with Octopus), I think it will be credited to the account.
If not, paid to your Bank account.

Saw this picture and thought of this thread :D

Anyone else unfortunately using an old non smart prepayment meter? Should be receiving vouchers in the post this week right?

Apparently they can only be used in the Post Office who ask for proof of address... But I have none with my name as I'm renting a friend of a friend's place and it's all unofficial so all bills still in their name... Can I just show a council tax letter addressed to the owner?

Was spending on average £1/d on gas and £2/d on electricity... One person household... Wonder how much it will be from now hmm
