The US claims that it could shoot down every warhead Russia can launch. Most people doubt this claim. The UK has much more limited capabilities, and is also much closer to Russia giving less time to identify and target warheads. A single nuke might be shot down but the UK has no capability to counter a large scale launch by Russia.

We won’t know as no country is going to declare this information. Without a doubt nuclear powers will have very significant defence systems in place.

Unless Putin is removed then unless Russia suddenly turn things around in Ukraine it leaves the only option to start with tactical nukes. The yield of these can be very small through to twice that of what was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Scary to think those would be considered only tactical size in todays world.

A tactical nuclear (or nuke fallout zone) fence around the stolen territories was what I was thinking earlier in the week. After listening to Bronk I realise it would need about 500 little nukes to do the trick - so its unlikely.

The "end game" is Russia learning that invading their neighbors will leave them worse off than not invading their neighbors.

The same can be said forRussia launching nukes.
