UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th October 2022]

Its rare the best team wins it. I doubt they win it this year. An off night in front of goal and they concede enough on shaky games. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even get furthest English club.

I think the opposite, they got injuries starting to return now at the right time, Phillips and Laporte coming on, Gomez and Alvarez starting to look adjusted to peps style and Haaland will get a good rest over the world cup. Plus they can go and buy whoever shines at the world cup without a second thought. They'll just have to pray they don't inherit any injuries from the tournament.

Quad a real possibility and like I said a few months ago and was laughed at, I think they'll storm the league regardless with Arsenal their closest rivals.

Neil Lennon must be sadistic to manage in Cyprus.

Must be having factor 100 on 24/7.

I think we need to be concerned about his mental health. He must have taken getting sacked by Celtic badly since he's gone from a team in green and white hoops with a shamrock on the badge to managing a team in green and white hoops with a shamrock on the badge

We’ve gone back to the days of the opposition having numbers on us in defence and attack somehow.

It almost feels hard to achieve that at this level.

I sometimes think Ronaldo is going to injure himself with the amount of arm flinging he does every time someone other than himself loses the ball.

These games are just weird, the opponents aren't well known but can be fairly solid, and breaking down teams is always tricky.

We are playing very badly though.

Edit :: finally, nice finish by Rashford
