BRB, stocking up on toilet roll.Massive run on supplies for bunker building, massive run on food etc.
To me it seems like Putin has accepted that he cannot take Ukraine but in doing so has a set a red line that they must take back the four annexed regions. I can't see Putin accepting anything less that this.
What is it with Russian soldiers and washing machines?
It would be an amazing show of weakness to use any nuclear weapon.I think folks are right to be concerned about possible use of low yield tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine but probably wrong about any escalation that lead to.

I can't see Putin accepting anything less that this. Use of small yield tactical nuclear weapons could certainly achieve that, but given how Ukraine's current fast paced counter offensive the best outcome would be to create a no go around around the four annexed regions but at the cost of probably contamination of those 4 annexed regions themselves. If the use of these weapons was strictly limited to Ukraine and any associated fallout minimized to NATO countries I can't see any real escalation other than additional sanctions on Russia.

If a bomb did drop I dont think I would have time to use toilet roll.BRB, stocking up on toilet roll.
Completely agree. yes it was in jest but next time I'm at the supermarket I will probably buy a few extra cans just in case.We jest right, but IMO it would be 10x worse than the COVID panic buying.
Not only would people be trying to buy everything they can (especially cans) but people would be going, whats the point in going to work if we will all be dead in 2 days, better to be at home and preparing my bunker, once I have bought a months food, a load of gas canisters, etc etc
The majority of the armed forces would be needed to stop civil issues, but thats assuming all the police and military to not take the same approach as above. We might not have that much left at that point in order to actually spend time degrading Russia.
COVID IMO was a VERY good example of how easily the herd will undertake illogical "me me me!" actions.
As long as I have a few mins warning to put on a cuppa, it's all good.If a bomb did drop I dont think I would have time to use toilet roll.
I mean if you're sat with a cuppa at the end of the world at least you can briefly say "I was there".As long as I have a few mins warning to put on a cuppa, it's all good.
