Red Bull look to be disputing the claim:
"While we consider the options available to us"

Ugh, you can just hear Horner in that. So it's a threat of leaving then basically, as said above, wittle it down to a pathetic fine, at worst dock the constructor's points for '21 and then everyone else suffers the consequences.

For those complaining that F1 has just turned into politics etc. well here I present to you the team that is the cause of all this nonsense :(

Have you?
If you read my sentence again you'll find I'm describing what I think is a likely outcome. The clue was using the future tense towards the end of the sentence.

On the other hand, you stated de facto that no-one has threatened leaving.

I remember seeing that quote from Brawn. Interesting...

To be fair, there was politics and BS during most seasons and decades of Formula 1 so this isn't particularly new. It's just that recently it's seems more down to the FIA's ineptitude and lack of knackers to actually handle situations.

Minor by rbr and major(?) and by Aston?

Part of me doesn't really trust that rbr is minor.
Supposedly, it was late homework for Williams (procedural); too much food for Aston (procedural); and Red Bull "minorly" fiddling the finances (minor breach of the budget cap) ;)

As others have mentioned, i think these "teeth" will either be a fine or at worse, deducting points from last years constructors. I very doubt the punishment will put last years WDC or this years season in jeopardy.

RB were rumoured to have massively overspent...
FIA have stated the overspend was a "minor breach" of the budget cap (+5%/£5.6m), so that's all we can go on without evidence it was anything worse.

The stuff about food overspend seems to be linked to Red Bull rather than Aston based on whats being put around on social media.
Also seeing suggestion that the overspend is £1m but I don't know if we'll ever officially get confirmation.

People are going to lose their minds when the penalty comes out.
Given FIA's current standings, i think most folk are already prepared for the limp-wristed punishment. Where it'll be interesting, is what they do about the current budget cap regs as that will determine if other teams do the same next year.
