His all having trouble getting my system to display a picture on my TV. I have tried it on the sons monitor works fine but won't work on my TV Any ideas ?

Basic things first, are both screens plugged in at the same time? Check that you have set the output to go to TV AND monitor, not one or the other.

Is the PC detecting the TV as a monitor, but the TV just not showing a picture? Might simply need to change the AV channel on the TV.

have you tried device connector in settings, i have lg tv and had to change it to pc to give me output to tv

I use one screen at a time mate thank you for the reply.

Some cheap HDMI cables cannot pass a 4k signal. Does it say the version of hdmi on the cable

Thank you for the reply how do you get this up on the tv?
not all LG tv the same, but mine is in settings and connections. there could be various reasons, many listed above. i thought i had same issue and bought a DP to hdmi adapter, but found my issue , which was i needed to set it to pc to detect the signal

It might be possible that the TV you have is modern enough where it won't accept a video signal without HDCP x.x or a version that it accepts.

I have a monitor (the dying one, Asus PB278Q) that won't accept an old ATI X850XT PE signal unless if it's from VGA DSub input. My old Sony V3000 TV however, would accept the GPU via DVI-HDMI without issues. If this is the issue here, I believe a workaround was something along the lines of grabbing one of those HDMI Video/Audio splitters that effectively adds the required HDCP level on it's own output back to the TV so that it will accept it. But this needs money to purchase for a niche case if this is what you fall under.

Which GPU (and which output) and which LG TV are we talking about here?

I tried my pc on the daughters samsung flawless not a problem. Tried factory restore still no display .on my TV . I'm lost might buy a hisense 4k .

Did you try it on all the hdmi ports on the tv to rule out maybe one for the pc ? Who knows with these tvs these days what they are doing. Also on latest firmware for the tv ?

Does your pc detect the tv in device manager. I would connect another monitor to the pc and download any lg drivers to the pc and see if that works. There must me a manual on the lg website about connecting pcs to that tv.
