Bit worrying that Russian forces appear to be rapidly pulling back to at least 50 miles from Kherson.

While it's inviting for Ukraine to fill the gap on the east bank, they will just be in the position that Russia were in with Kherson - except they won't even have the degraded bridges to use for support. They will be vulnerable to counter attack and hard to re-supply.

They might distract Russia though and prevent those troops being used in a more likely direction of attack.

Maybe they want NATO to destroy them as an excuse for the loss. As Ukraine was going to beat them anyway, which is more humiliating. Incompetance is obviously very plausible too

I'll wait till there are more reliable reports on this, I'm not expecting much if anything to come out of that.
However if it turns out to be true. Green light! Lets get stuck in! I'll see you all at the Forward holding base! Hopefully get a few pints down Paderborn before we are deployed forward!
