Been at it all day, but mark my words it is all going to look like new once it’s finished!

Nevertheless, maintenance on a water cooled rig is just so frustrating.

I am waiting to see if I can snag a 7900xtx before I think about maintenance. New gpu and waterblock would make it feel more worthwhile rather than just a general clean.

Well it was never going to go without drama. My new 54mm rad is about 2mm too big combined with the new motherboard and its aluminium vrm cooler. Everything back out again, radiators swapped and verticals bracket discarded. Fml

Lol yep, my last change took basically 2 days.

I finally finished at about 23:30 last night. That satin plexi tubing is so difficult to work with as it cracks so easily.
Have the joy of draining again in two weeks to get the cpu block added. :(

Oooh nice satin tubing. Please post a pic when it is all done. I may consider satin tubing in the future.

Here ya go… but upset that I don’t have the CPU block yet. That little fan is really struggling! Haha

Also, still have one fan that won’t light up but I just cba to investigate until 2 weeks time when it all come out again. The PC weighs more then my son at this point!

Very nice and thank you for the pic. With the normal clear little loop I can see the difference and I do like the satin tubes. What brand is your satin tubing and any recommendations ?

It’s Corsair brand. Only recommendation is to buy twice as much as you need, I ruined so many pieces!

Thats what I`m waiting for, plus the 7800X 3D and hopefully the Lian Li 011D XL EVO all appearing early next year then I`ll build a new system.

Well I just checked to see what was available and it seems there is only 14mm and 12mm satin tubing and I have 16mm fittings. If anyone knows of 16mm satin hard tubes then please inform me but if it is not available I will have a practice sanding on my PETG 16mm tube to see if I can get the same effect. I have seen some vids of a guy doing this and it looks more time consuming than difficult and the bonus is I get to use PETG and not acrylic.

Oh that is a shame, if I see any sign of 16mm I’ll post here :)
