Boooo! the pantomime villain has come out...booooo!
The irony of the same crowd then cheering Seb...also one of the most hated drivers on the grid during his day.

Not sure its ironic. Seb was a bit of a ***** when he raced for RB and since he left he has seemingly changed a lot. I doubt people will still be booing Max in 5 years if he does the same.

Currently Max is a massive knob who is very unlikeable. If he changed then peoples reaction to him will change.

Are you seriously asking why race wins matter to an F1 team? Hold on, let's look through the record books...
Just not seeing a category for "number of 2nd places", strange.
Go ask Perez which he thought was more important. Another win for the team or his best ever (potentially only) finish in the WDC. As a team that should be respected.

But whatever, no point going round in circles as Seb just said. Good riddance to this season, let’s hope for a fair WDC next year without human error or budget caps affecting it ;)

Edit: Max and Sergio getting in like a house on fire in the cool down room :D

Why would the team put Perez above the goals of the team? Never heard that before.

When Hamilton and Rosberg were racing, no one was above the team.

I must be mistaken. I thought he was a driver for Red Bull Racing, not team owner AND driver of Perez Racing.
Race wins are far more important than 2nd positions. You know this.

What were the goals of the team that were at odds with getting Perez 2nd in the championship? A 1/2 shows absolutely dominance and is something any team would want so I don't think you can argue that putting Perez above the team has any relevance.

Seb wasn't a **** at all. He had a few moments like every driver but he just suffered the wrath of the Hamilton nutjob supporters like everyone who's challenged and beaten him.

Can't overtake, wouldn't win a race without the best car, Webber was better than him, most arrogant driver for holding a finger up when he won and a lot more garbage from the same people who now hate Max :o

You couldn’t write it, could you :D

Give your team mate an easy 6th place to help the team achieve their first ever 1-2 in the WDC.

Or

Defy team orders and launch your toys in to orbit resulting in your team mate having a harder job in the final race of the season.

For a team with such a dominant car they had the opportunity to seal the end of a dominant season by saying to the world “our team is so good we came 1st and 2nd” and utterly bottled it.
