They normally sit two CM’s quite deep (often Casemiro and Fred), then a 3 and striker. They sonetimes switch to 4-3-3 against the stronger teams.
 
Well that was disappointing. Totally dominated possession for most of the match, made little of it, then a fragile defence crumbled on the counter-attack. Well played, Japan, and well deserved. Can't see the match against Spain going particularly well either.
