FIFA World Cup 2022 Group E ** spoilers ** (Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan)

Score line flatters Spain.

They played well but Costa Rica were also terrible. Every time Spain went forward CR's back line was more crooked than FIFA themselves and with 30 minutes to go the pace of the game was walking speed.

Germany vs Spain game will be interesting as I think there will be little in the way of goals.

I just watched the highlights and my word were they awful. Its like they didn't want to be there. I would say at least 5 out of the 7 goals were just bloody awful defending. I watched about 10 minutes of the game live and Costa Rica were just walking about, never pressing Spain, never closing them down. It wasn't even a training match for Spain.

Dreading a 48 team WC.

May as well not have qualifying, just enter the whole world.

The competition has been diluted enough as it is. 2026 will be awful.
 
I'm appalled by how bad our defense was yesterday, Schlotterbeck was woeful, and playing Sule at full-back?? Hansi Flick needs to seriously look at the defenders, we've got Thilo Kerher and Klosterman. Also bringing Fullkrug on instead of the absolute mental pace of Adeyemi was a mistake too! One positive though, Jamal was fantastic as per!


Would be nice to see Moukoko start upfront instead of Havertz in the next game too.

I'd love to see a team lineup that has Kimmich at right-back, Goretzka and Ilkay in midfield with Moukoko, Jamal and Gnabry leading the attack...
