Honestly, I don't much care for Russians in the larger scheme of things, I do care about the Ukrainians.

Russia has been running out of long range missiles for about 6 months now, yet they keep firing them.

An impressively large number are being shot down, almost entirely thanks to the S300 that Ukraine HAD a lot of, but they are burning through them like crazy and the West arguably doesn't even have a system that matches it, let alone one they can supply in the required numbers. Its worth noting that every time they are used to shoot down missiles they are putting themselves at huge risk of secondary anti-radiation missile strikes, its a numbers game and its only going one way.

The blank cheques from the US are gone post midterms, so its going to be down to the EU to provide massive funding in a depression, a solution would be aircraft that could shoot the slower moving missiles down. The only plane that fits the bill imo is the Gripen as it was designed for this type of scenario, BUT Sweden isn't in NATO, so good luck persuading them to **** on the Russians parade.

Its depressing, its not what you want to hear but for the sake of the Ukrainian people, people need to start getting realistic.

World keeps sanctions on Russia for the next 20 years or more like Cuba, Russian citizen taxes go up for decades as Russia has to find money to replace losing half of its entire ground and air military forces that the Soviet Union spent 60 years building and Putin destroyed in 9 months? Russia losing millions of its most skilled workers to other countries? Russia having hundreds of thousands of injured or crippled soldiers coming back who need lifelong care for ptsd and physical disabilities that taxes will need to pay for, is that winning? Russian population aged 20-39 collapsing, therefore no one left to make new Russian children and overall Russian population facing complete collapse, is that winning?

Is that winning? What did it cost? Everything?

Western sanctions haven't done ****, and in case you hadn't noticed, the West isn't looking all that rosy right now. All this nonsense about washing machines, you really believe it? The chips are manufactured in China and are sold freely on the open market.

I spent a fair amount of time in Russia immediately post Soviet collapse and things were bad then, really really bad, yet people got on with their lives. If you are trying to judge the Russian mentality by Western standards .. well I have a cupboard of #staywoke T-shirts to sell you.
