When are the "B" boards for Ryzen 7000 available?

Why do you need pcie gen 5.0 or DDR5?, pcie gen 4.0 and ddr4 still works perfectly fine?

You'll need a new board in 5 years time if you buy AM5 as AM5 is only slated to run till 2025 which is just 3 years from now.

At least 2025, you will still have the current gen RAM, current PCIE slot (we will be at least 2 more GPU gens down the line)

And in 2025 if support does end, the latest CPU line likely to be 8000 series refresh and your still good till 2027 or so imo

Put that in comparison to Intel and Raptor Lake and beyond ..

Gen 5 m.2 drives soon to be released and depending what you do can be big improvement also direct storage not sure yet how much difference it will be between gen4 and gen5 drives

Spiderman shows good gains with ddr5 and pretty sure more games will also start too

Wouldn't wanna be stuck with ddr4 or no option for gen5 drives for next 2-3 years
For me I'm in same boat. Pcie 5 graphics probably don't bother me, they won't even have saturated 4 in 3-5 years I imagine (with normal human cards)

Do want pcie5 storage though at least one slot for later expandability.

Pcie 5.0 won't matter for a GPU and considering direct storage on Xbox has been around for a few couple of years and game load times are in seconds with storage that is no faster than an average gen 3.0 drive, spending what will likely be silly money on gen 5.0 drives when gen 4.0 will offer double the capacity for a similar or even cheaper price makes no sense for non work related uses.j

No difference between DDR4 and DDR5 especially if you run DDR4 at 4000mhz on Intel.

Personally I wouldn't wanna be building pc now that I will be keeping for the next 2-3 years with no option of gen 5 and ddr5

My PC cycle is more like 8 years so I get where you're coming from.

At this rate I'll still be rocking my 1070 in 2030.

Does anyone know how long after Am4 launched the B series were available? Google failing me, keep seeing different dates.

I just ordered the same MB, hopefully it works as well as my X370 has.

I installed Win10 and am now upgrading to 11, MS suck soooo much!

Mine was something simple I just think I kept trying and it randomly discovered the wifi.. that or I put the hdmi into the motherboard. Can't remember which one. One I had Internet I updates everything including bios. Ever since that day 1 Internet is always discoverable even on a reformat.

I wasted a few hours, then installed Win 10, still needed to install nic driver to get internet. I did update the BIOS before starting the OS install. The flasback light is hard to see, only new it was working because the usb drive light was flashing.

Strange no idea why mine is like that. Once it's open it runs as normal though.
Do you use several drives? maybe looking up the storage locations is slowing it down. Use Task Manager/ Resource monitor to view whats happening when you load steam. On my AM4 PC, it takes about 7s to load steam, only got 3 games installed though.

I do but it was taking 22-35 seconds even without an account associated with it and also wasn't doing that on my AM4 system. I'll have a look at that, thanks :)
