Or it's just because wearing a coat makes me annoyingly hot, and I don't feel the cold as much as most people. I'd rather be comfortable than wear extra layers because everyone else is?

I do everything I can to  avoid people attention is the last thing i want so i can get home

Plus if you wore a coat with shorts on then you would get even more looks

Sweltering summer evenings aren't enjoyable either, like this year when it was still almost 30C well past midnight. Spring/Autumn are the best times of year.

You're totally right though that sweltering and sticky heat isn't nice either.

Just what @MichaelAwkward said. Give me an overly cold night rather than an overly hot one any time. If it's too cold, at least you can put more clothes/blankets on. When it's too hot you can't do anything.

For me the best weather is in the transitional months, so typically April, May, Oct and November.

I would be ok with strong seasonal variance provided I had powerful A/C in summer and state of the art heating in winter.

I love how opposite we are.

I like the peak of summer. Then peak of winter. The Inbetween months (especially November) are my least favourite
