Well I dont want to put frighteners out there but it does seem a lot of people are trying to pretend it has gone when it hasnt. I wouldnt get into a car with someone that has a cold which is usually mild for me let alone some idiot that thinks its over. But being in shops with idiots not covering their mouths while coughing is sadly the state of this country so it will be even easier to catch it now. It just takes one idiot to spread it.

Well any other year except 2020 & 2021 but he didn't say that.
 
Following on from my post earlier, after my positive test yesterday and a negative one from the wife, we decided to do one again today as she is achy and cold, this one was positive. So I guess that means our 10 month old little girl is also now positive, genuinely worried now how it's going to affect her. How on earth do you swab a 10 month old to check lol. Just rang 111 to get some advice, pretty useless advice after waiting for 30 minutes.

I would suggest waiting till she is asleep and then swap the inside of the cheek, as that should give enough viral particles to get a faint line on the test, that’s what I plan to do with my grandson in the next few days.
 
This year I've had the flu jab and Covid booster. Then for the first time ever the government has sent me money in the form of a tax rebate. Am I supposed to believe this is a coincidence?

I think you need to take a break from the thread or stick him on ignore.

He didn't call you a liar, you did fill in a blank that was in his post to then go off on a rant.

It's getting silly now, take a breath and a break for your own sanity.

You can understand where he’s coming from though, SexyGrayFox spent the whole of 2020 right in the mix of Covid on the front line and to have someone come along on a windup saying he is “just seeing what you want to see” Ie he‘s over reacting about what really went on, I would also take offence to that.
For some of us Covid most definitely isn’t over, yes most of us have relaxed a little but are still aware of it on a daily basis

Skipper isn't wrong though he is seeing what he wants to see, at least in response to that particular quoted post. It said nothing about only applying to COVID years but SGF decided he was only referencing the last 2-3 years and not just generally how people have behaved when they've had a rough cold/cough/flu/whatever for the past many decades.

It also didn't particularly read like he was calling him a liar the first time it was mentioned either depending on how you read the post.

Like I said either way it's not worth getting wound up over, ranting on here isn't going to change someone's mind if they are indeed in the denier camp.

One thing the last few years should have taught is it that life is too short for banging your head against a wall.

I know what he is suggesting, he is a conspiracy theorist and there's only you not seeing it.
Twice I've said things about my job/experiences and twice he's said I'm only seeing what I want to see.
