Yeah, I remember when he needed the last series and boy was that fun. I didn't manage to get him one on launch day but I stalked the Overclockers forums and because they gave a heads up at one point, I did manage to get him one at a later date. It wasn't his preferred option but since it was for testing purposes, any of the series would do.

With the rumoured price release on a French website I don’t see them flying off the shelf unless there is a miracle on Monday with the proper benchmarks.
Yep, I am hopeful if only for that alone. At least, luckily, price isn't the biggest issue for him since it is reimbursed by his employer (tho he doesn't like to spend much, he is a frugal computer geek even with other's money).
there are more places than overclockers to buy a card, there will be plenty available and anyone saying otherwise is just whipping people up to go rabid and spend straight away out of fear
