When was the last time that you used a pencil?

It seems even tradespeople use Sharpie style pens these days instead of a pencil.
This is incorrect. Unless you are marking cables the ink bleeds through paint if used on wood or walls.

Best thing to use is a good old pencil although I use the pica pencil being a carpenter.

All the time when i’m renovating/building and on occasion when I help my son draw.

You may not be getting the answers you thought but they are far from dead!

I use my Apple Pencil a lot too ;)

Pencils are great, use them all the time for DIY, woodwork etc. Don't run out and easy to erase, scrub or sand off. Lots of lead in my pencils!

Just now. I didn't need to though. Just wanted some pencil thread points :D

I did use one the other day, marking lengths of wood to chop for kindling. I always use a pencil for DIY at home too.

Edit: my Dad's a carpenter, always had loads of these lying around at home when I was growing up:

10 mins ago mine has a rubber on top too :D

I made it compulsory for writing on the calendar on the fridge as the wife would use a pen then scribble out and change dates so annoying and untidy :p
